Hi guys, I want to get either a herc or phoenix but I'm not sure which one is right for me. The herc is kind of ugly but the phoenix costs a lot to feed so I'm just wondering what is their stats like. Thanks <3
IF THIS IS A HOUSE OF PANCAKES, WHY CAN'T I EAT THE WALLS?

    Both are hard to feed. Herc only eats meat, phoenix only eats fodder.

    Phoenix has perfect stats, while Herc has fairly good hp/def/etc. I'm not sure of the Herc's growth chart, but perhaps someone here can post it up. The only thing is that Hercules works as a better tank since phoenixes can't be used in FB's, and Herc also gets buffs that boost his hp/def, while phoenix gets one that boosts attack.

    Herc maybe ugly but he is a great tank. I am now saving to get the phoenix. I got herc first for his tanking ability and helps me and my husbands cleric do more together.

    way to down play hercs abilities lol... his pdef and mdef get more than 2x phoenix.
    he is the only pet thatll tank TT squad by itself, and will in turn lead to alot more money to buy a phoenix

    The Phoenix seems better overall using base stats. Add in the pet buffs however and it looks more like this:

    What if you're able to buy the rare pet skill tomes from Herc and train Phoenix with it? Would that work? Heard of anyone doing that before?b:pleased

    You could, but why? The Phoenix cannot be used in an instance, and it's the DPS pet of the two legendary pets.

    Lol, good point. I just thought of it, seeing as Phoenix seems to have higher base stats.

    Lol, herc may be ugly as heck, but the phoenix is actually a chicken. Some people don't notice it, but if you scroll in really close you can see it. b:thanks

    theres no argument here if youre going to get one, get herc o_o

    Those stats someone earlier posted are irrelavent. by ~80 herc should have 20k pdef with his buff which is far more than stupid phoenix could ever hope to get.

    phoenix is just a bugged stupid pet that venos in PVP mistake for skill. otherwise it really has no use at all

    O.O ... get a phoenix... lvl it up and say that again :)
    Best i think is to get a Herc first ... you can make a lot of coins eventualy with solo TT runs and buy a phoenix with that.Thats what i did anyway. Herc is great for tanking , Phoenix is great for dmg :)

    Herc is just easier. Both pets will costs the same 250k+ weekly fee if you get the arcane book. But if for some reason you are without the book...good luck getting hay at 5-7k ea lol. Meat is sooo much easier to get at 1.5k-2k ea.

    You can solo FB's with herc, look forward to easy TT solos later on, no worries about multi aggro while grinding.

    With nix...better pvp. And then flesh ream might be fixed in the future which will make them **** imo. lol

    Zoe why do you post stuff like this? Who uses herc without buffs...except maybe to lure? Herc wins in all the def categories by a wide margin.

    You really shouldn't speak of stuff you know absolutely nothing about. You can buy rare pet scrolls in auction. Sure they are rare, like the name says, but one shows up almost every week. I have reflect on my phoenix. And there is a protection scroll in auction now(heavans tear)

    Phoenix isn't bugged. It doesn't even come with the bugged skill. As for it having no use, for grinding I would say you will get 1.5 times the exp with phoenix. Herc is best for instances, and bosses.


    I have no idea what hercs buffed defense would be at 80. But from your other statements, I would guess, that it is way wrong, too.

    Out of curiosity, how much did you pay for the Reflect scroll? The only one I've seen was bid up to 4.1 million before I had to leave.

    The Protect scroll I think is the same one that's been floating around for two weeks. I first saw it priced at 900k, and bid up to just over 1 mil before I had to leave (dunno what the final selling price was). It was almost immediatelly re-listed for 3 mil. I've since seen it (or others like it) listed at 2.5-3 mil. Dunno if any of these have actually sold as I've never seen a bid on them.

    Never seen Strong, Claw, or the hp buff on auction, but I haven't been looking that long.

    I paid about 4.1 million. So if that was 3 or 4 days ago, then I got the one you seen.

    I've only been looking for a couple weeks. I didn't have the cash, or the phoenix for it before that. I almost bought the protect scroll for a couple million. It was up for a couple days, then disapeared for a week to two. Now Either it, or another one is up. I think buy now on it is 3 million.

    I haven't seen any others yet either. But figure in time they will all eventualy show up..I shudder to think of the price strong or sacfrifice would bring though

    Totally off topic But I need to do a mini rant, but not worth separate topic.

    Auction house needs cancel auction option removed!! I was winning reflect for 1.1 million with less than an hour to go. the auction was cancelled and immediatly relisted for 2 million start. So I ended up paying 4.1 million. If the price was to low, it should have been started higher in the first place. Ok. rant off :)

    Yeah thats why I don't even bother with bidding in the AH. If the buy now price is reasonable then I'll do that. Seems like people always cancel the bids...especially with expensive items.

    But the prob is that most expensive items in AH have no buyout. =(

    The protect scroll sold at just under 3 million, which was my buy now price.
    All the rare scrolls are drop or event I believe? not sure about event though.
    They can't be purchased through NPC. They do pop up from time to time.
