Woot Woot i finally got 1 and lvling it up as i type but just wandering is it worth using the arcane pet books until i can afford an xmas blessing? and is pounce up to lvl 5 allright for agrro until i can afford fleshream?

    Pounce's highest level is 2, and Phoenix will start with lvl 2 Pounce. I would say just use hay or ginseng to feed phoenix (for loyalty) for awhile till you get enough money to get both arcane book and flesh ream.

    If you PVP, just keep the pounce as it is for now, see what happen when the new genie comes out. if you PVE the most, I suggest you replace the pounce with bash. arcane boos seems expensive, but it really is not. without it, you will have to feed your pet every 5 minutes, the current price for hay on LC is above 6k each, so you will need to spend 72k each hour to keep your pet full. compare to 240k per week, the arcane book is actually cheap. unless you decide to ignore your pets loyalty of course, you better buy a arcane book, or borrow money from some one to get a xmas blessing.

    pounce is awsome. flesh ream is FAIL for agro get bash or some other quick attk move.

    Not sure the status on HT but on Sanc there have been a lot of mystic tomes popping up lately and most are cheaper than the blessing. +magic helps us a lot more than +crit, just something to think about.

    It's actually misleading to say that the phoenix must be fed every five minutes: it doesn't have to be, and, to keep costs down, you shouldn't.


    If you use Hay to feed a phoenix, in a 3 hour stretch of time you only need to feed the Phoenix 16 times using a cycle of 30 minutes not feeding the pet, and then 20 minutes feeding the pet, or in each 3 hour period of using the phoenix using 17 Hay which would be about 85k if you bought hay@5k each and 102k@6k each.


    The costs will add up to more than the cost of an Arcane Book, but only after 7.5-8.45 hours of having the phoenix summoned, so if you play more than 7-8.45 hours a week the Arcane Tome would be a good idea, but if you don't then it's actually cheaper to not use the Arcane Tome provided you only feed the phoenix when it hits starving, but before losing 50 more loyalty.

    To keep the bird fed only needs 16 hay in three hours, but to keep from having a net-loss requires one more to bring it back up to break-even.

    So what's the fair price for tome? (doesn't matter what stat it give) I've seen it in catshops, but the greedy **** demand upward of 4 mil for it.b:embarrass

    Cheapest I've seen tome frags for on Sanc so far have been 550k. Add in the 4 gold for the pages and you're looking at 2 mil minimum. I've seen quite a few of the lowest grade tomes for 2.5mil, which so far seems pretty fair. We'll see how prices act over the next several weeks, seems like more people are figuring out Rebirth. 4mag/3vit, or 5 magic would be the ones to go for, or maybe +exp%, sorry I don't remember their names.

    Firstly, congraz on getting a Phoenix...

    Flesh Realm is rather good than Pounce. I will suggest you getting it for your 4th skill. Keep your pounce for now. =)

    Like what others suggest, keep on feeding your nix with Hay or Ginseng till you can afford a Arcane Book, or better, Christmas Blessing.

    Arcane book ticks off once you equip with it, and last for 7 days, even you are offline. So just take note of it... As for Christmas Blessing, in HT server I think can go up to 3mil...

    Yeah thanks ive got the arcane book and the phoenix is allready paying for itself but does the mystical tomb you mentioned keep it fed all the time and last forever? as i was just guna save for a blessing but if tomb is cheaper and does the same.

    That's what I heard. Supposedly anything that goes into the slot keeps pets fed. Haven't tried it myself though, don't have it yet.b:bye

    i can see how to make them myself and i can get the 4 pages but u also need 3 mystical tome fragments and have no idea where you get them from

    Your lvl isn't high to do the quest required, for now you'll have to buy fragments from others. I've seen them in kitty shops for 600k each, but it's likely overpriced.

    they do, i has a magic + 5 one. making one on my server is fairly cheap compared to buying a **** xmas blessing.
