Physical Defence

Hi,
I have a couple of basic questions.

What defence does one need against a mob whose strength is say wood, but shoots arrows at you. If I put my highest wood rated armour on am I protecting myself against his arrows or do I need to put armour on that has a high physical defence.

Also, what about the mobs that have no special attack strength, i.e., wood, fire, earth, metal or water. Does one just put on an armour with the highest physical defence.

Thanks,

The element tells you what the mob is weak/stong against.

If it's shooting arrows at you, it is still likely doing physical damage. Most of the time, if it looks elemental, it probably is elemental, but if it looks physical, then it probably is. The exception I've found is things that throw big rocks at you are usually physical and not earth. (I hope that made sense)

[Non] just means it has no elemental strength/weakness. I haven't paid real close attention, but i think most [non] do phys damage too.

there are a few non-element mobs that do magic damage, like lvl 75 huggy hares.

but yeah, for physical atking mobs, element only determines def.

If you see a mob channel an attack then it is magic and if it does not even if it looks like magic it is physical. The only attack I'm not sure about is the spell that looks like a black cloud around you with a skull. It looks a little similar to one of the veno's spells. I'll have to remember to ask one about that sometime.
