The GMs are not there to cater to your whim. They are not there to enforce how you believe people should behave in-game (made up "social rules"). They are there to enforce the game rules, and ensure players adhere to them.


BTW, the game rules are full of gray areas to allow for GMs to make decisions based on context and situation.

Sure you used 2 seperate examples of how social rules were not enforced, but the whole point of this thread is that the GMs are enforcing social rules on Enrage. All I said was that I can show how the vague rules, the ones you choose to call gray areas, can be used to validate what the GMs are doing.

I don't think ANY social rules have been enforced. The day social rules are enforced is the day I quit. In this RPG, I am the bad guy. No bad guy means the good guys start to look bad. You people need me.

Just so you know, there have been 2 GM vs Enrage "incidents."
The 24 bans on people who had nothing to do with "ksing."
The GM WB incident.

GMs have explained themselves in what happened in both situations. We're all human, things happen. I have been satisfied with their responses and will continue to compromise my gameplay to make sure GMs and defected are both happy. I could give a damn about any of the rest of you.

And for the record, I have never been banned or warned or any such thing. I get people telling me ksing/pking/being near oracle spawns is a bannable offense. I have yet to see a GM say such things.

We need to stay off the forums. There's no sport here.

Now, if you need me, I'll be killing level 40s near Swiftwind.

I could make the arguement that KSing a mob I am attacking is causing me discomfort. Or that not following the social rules implemented by the majority of other players could be considered Impeding or disruptice of the normal flow of the game. And if I can make this arguement then you know other players have and will continue to do so. And if enough other players are making this arguement, then the GMs will start to be swayed by it.

I do not play on your server so I have had no in game experience with Enrage. I am only trying to show and objective view of how the rules could be interpreted.

Proof? You want proof from me as to why this thread was started?. How about you prove to me that I am wrong. Prove to me that my objective view of the situation is wrong and I will agree with you. But if the best you can do is say that the GMs are showing favoritism is not the same as them enforcing social rules, then go back and look at the reason that were posted throughout this thread for why the GMs are showing favoritism.

And it looks like you are telling me I am wrong but then agreeing with me. "Showing Favoritism = Enforcing Social Rules".

You need to work more on your "valid arguements" before you accuse others of not being valid.

Yes. I never said whether it is right or wrong for them to be punished, just speculated as to a reason for it.

Something tells me that the problem makers would avoid that fictional server, either for lack of pray or for lacking balls.

IMO it does not matter who is right or wrong. the important thing is what the whiner thinks and if the GM agrees with him.

I'm sure bad cases might have been wrongly ignored (allowed) while good cases have been wrongly punished.

Again you say that I am wrong and agree with me. What am I not remotely right about? Do you even understand my posts? I know MentalEdge does. I never said whether or not it is wrong for Enrage to be punished for this. I am just stating that there are more views then yours out there.

You cannot say that the rules have very large gray areas then say that your interpretation of them is the only correct interpretation. If your interpretation is the only correct one, then the rules are simple black and white.

I have just been saying this entire time that the rules are vague(which you have agreed with) and open to interpretation(again you agreed with this), and as such if you can bend them in your favor the I can bend them in my favor as well.

Surely "bending" this rule has to be taken in context. This **** has gone on too long and its pissing WAY too many people off.
Enrage have a maximum of 150 players, I'm not saying they're all bad, but ALL the KSing I've seen at Oracle bosses has been by ENRAGE! Just look at their faction name, that's what they set out to do.
