Sorry if this have been stated before, but i really need too get this clear once and for all before wasting more money and time on crafting.

Ath the moment i am level 19 with 13/20 skill Lvl 2 Blacksmith, got a few coins of selling a few 2 star item. but i guess the real point in crafting in PW lies in Molds. so i got a few questing about it.

1: Is it really worth the time and efford too lvl up a crafting skill? or is the mold item strong enough compared too dungeon item for example?

2: When my crafting level for example is level 3 and my current toon level is lets say.. 38. how is it possible too make a mold which have crafting level at level 5...? which only req lvl 35.

3: Is it possible too sell the molds after u manufactered it... or is it binded too you??

4: Do u need any material too craft molds when u bought it? or do u just need the req level and crafting level?

I will appreciated any help regard this.. thanks

well i don't know the answer to your first question, but i think i can help on the others:

    2. say you have a mold and 2 toons a lv 60 and a lv 35 the 60 can make the items for you (in some cases) and you can mail it to your 35, and i don't think that there is a lv requirment on your crafting lvs, just access to the mats, which can be bought off the AH for quite a bit of change.

    3. the mold itself is a material for making the item, it dissapears when you craft with it, the item itself i don't think is bound to you until you equip it, but i'm not sure on that one as i haven't made any yet myself.

    4. yes you do need other mats, on of the more commn ring molds i've seen is 7 logs, 7 pig iron, 7 coal dust, 7 sandstone and something else too i think

don't know if this helps, or makes it more confusing. once i get some more info on this topic i'll be sure to drop a reply or a new thread.

But if there isnt any kind of req as a blacksmith too get the weapon, then whats the point in leveling in a crafting skill, cause i find it much cheaper in money just too sell the gathering material?

That exact conclusion was reached Here too.

    Ultimately, the point is:

1)To be the person in your guild who can actually make stuff
    2) Not be dependent on getting someone else to make stuff

If you sell all your mats for a good price, then buying already made weapons really shouldn't be an issue. For the most part, the price increase of something made versus the mats isn't very big, AND you know you are getting a quality piece, unlike making it yourself

Manufacturing in this game is very gimped. BUT, on a brand new server...well,
*someone* has to level those things
