question about pk pvp?

ive been reading and reading about people complaining on the random pk in pvp servers, the whole 'roll pve if you dont want to die' etc.. etc...

i have a serious question, for high levels, if they see a white name, is that pretty much instant death? or do you have gennerally have to aggrivate someone before they kill you?

like, is it possible to find a group to go questing with in a pvp sever? or is it purely just a "i see you, im going to kill you" type of experience.

i truly and honestly hope not, i mean having the option to kill people is nice, but unwarrented just seems weird. how is one to finish hard quests, world bosses etc if you cant trust a soul?

so please, im asking very nicely, is it anywhere near as bad as the forum whiners say it is? or is it pretty chill, just with the option to kill and be killed..

Unless you're in an established faction, the biggies will pick you out knowing that you're a nobody and will not dent their reputation if they PK you. If you fight back you and your whole faction will be put on Killing-on-sight which pretty much stops you doing anything.

I'm in an big faction and I pick out nooblets like you on a daily basis. You wont be able to do anything because Im an awesome PK (not as awesome as Deity because he's made of win and good-looking). This is what our faction do best. We secretly rack up our kills without having to engage other big factions.

Yup, that's PvP. Another advice is to stay low when you see people with the Kingdom tag. They all do what I do.

    b:bye

Well, I'll just say that half of what I said's true.

There are people (I did mention kingdom, not all of them though) pick out 'free meat' on regular basis. They're usually dark-red so it's nice to avoid them. Otherwise, as long you stay white-named, you'll be quite comfortable grinding and questing.

I'll just say that being an unfactioned random will get you attacked more often. Find yourself a reputable faction that doesn't stir up too much drama amongst other factions is the way to go.

Also, if any individuals from the big factions attack you, don't fight back. I'll use myself as an example:

    - [Kingdom]Referee attacks [Nobody]Frostpaws and did 2000 damage, Frostypaws lived and criticalled [Kingdom]Referee in 1 hit.
    - [Kingdom]Referee cries to [Kingdom]Icon and [Kingdom]Lessie, reported as a deliberate attack by [Nobody]
    - [Kingdom] now has KoS on everyone in [Nobody], [Nobody] gets pummelled forcing members to quit.

Other than the jerks trying to act like the good guys, the server's not as harsh as the name implies. Have fun.

Another thing, the people in PvP servers tend to be more for themselves, it's harder to find helps for bosses and stuff simply because we're either busy building a reputation for ourselves, or we just need to level to keep ourselves competitive. It's alot funner(and funnier) here though.

that was the ultimate redemption post, i take back what i said about the troll comment.

i think that is exactly what i needed to see, i kinda figured that noguilds would be easy pickings, and kos lists would be around but i wasnt sure if it was as brutal is the 'rumors' make it out to be.

    thankyou for the nice reply!

Dont worry, its not that bad. there are some random pkers which are on kos lists of many people, and big factions, as long as they are not **** disallow ranodm pk. Also you find normally enough people to quest with, also if they are in a different faction. At least i never had a problem with it, though i avoid troublemaker and annoying people.

But some still randomly PKs anyway. I've been PK'd by kingdom, laststand, eminence, rule34, you name it. I've only been randomly PK'd by crimson once though, which is expected seeing they spend more time levelling than actually enjoying the PK drama.

Like Lost-city, the random PK will be everywhere when most of the population hit 60+. It's bound to happen. So get levelled so you can fend for yourself. No robe classes please because there's just as many archer as to venos.

Nope, its not due to that we are only leveling, its due to strict rules and discipline, and even that one random pk would end in a kick, if u werent the aggressor. but as i see u writing here and ur behaviour, im sure its easy to get annoyed by you.

I usually keep it to myself when I grind and quest, so I don't see why I'm targetted. I mean, my character name's not anything inflammatory like "Pewpew" or "Brendle".

No one will bother complaining, because most of the new-comers just assume that it's normal to get PK'd.

And yes, crimson's generally got a good track record from refraining from PK but it certainly doesn't mean inviduals in the faction wont pk.
