Cleric any good in PK

Hi i am a lvl 61 cleric . I have spent a lot of money lvling my skills like the rest of the clerics. I want to know if clerics are any good in PK.

If so then what skills should be used the most (any specific combo's).

I don't have any PK experience so wanted to get some

i am full mag with 1900 hp ( 5 vit 5 dex 35 str and rest mag).

pk rankings mean nothing~

and yes ep's are good at pking, maybe not at this level cause your pdef is terrible and archers just roll you but at 9x when you actually worry about your gear eps are a lot better

Maybe the person avoids archers. Or have plume shell and ironheart stacks in place while charging up that Tempest and one shot them with it while they're not looking? If you fight dirty it's easier to win and whatnot. I suspect it has to do more with playstyle and pk skill than Cleric characteristics.b:chuckle

The best is a cleric? Are you mad? You don't think Evenixus got those kills in a legit way, do you? He convinces low levels to turn white so he can 1 hit them. Thankfully he doesn't know what plume shell is, I might've been in trouble when he tried to hurt me.

I Don't really know much about this game figuring just learned about it and I'm downloading and reading the forums on classes and stuff..But based on past PVP experience clerics (healers in general) do fair in pvp just because they are usually being protected by a tank and a dmged dealer and all he has to do is sit there and keep the dmged dealer and tank alive while they fight...

Now why don't you guys stop argueing about pve vs pvp and actually give some tips, figuring he wants to go pvp with his cleric...

Don't PK. If you can't kill your target in one hit, you've already lost (unless they don't have a hiero). You can't PK if your full mag.

I made this thread to get some useful input and not for some stupid egoistic sick granny who is pissed of in real life and plays on a pvp server to come and ruin this thread.

xinderbirx - to put it the simplest way... especially for random pk

Heavy armour - sleep (chromatic seal) > debuff magic def > spark > wield thunder then just cyclone till they are dead.

Arcance armour - sleep (chromatic seal) > debuff phys def > spark > plume till they are dead.

Works a quite well but u do have to tweak it for ur own strategy such as when to heal or use plume shell and other skills

okay, This is my input on how to fight other classes as a cleric.


Barbarian:

I have never seen a barbarian that I couldn't simpily stack Ironheart blessing and slip in a cyclone to kill them, but in the worst case scenario and you have to reframe from healing because they hit too hard,

-Plume shell (80% phy dmg reduction) You have Charms In PK so that's NP
-Chromatic seal (Maxed out up to 33.1 second sleep)
-Weild lightning
-Great cyclone
-Repeat step 2 and 4

Archers:

When played tactically they are close to the easiest class to PK, They will always start:
-Stun In that case you spark and resist the stun.
-They spark if they spark after you've sparked and resisted their stun, Chromatic seal, and the match is over, you've won.

or

-Winged grace, if they do that run up close while they cast it, activate plume shell and charge a weild thunder.

-Wingspan/Winged pledge, If they follow up with that your plume shell will absorb a large magority of the damage, cast ironheart blessing.

In that scenario the archers phy damage is kinda ****, magic always sucks their 1 metal debuff can be purifed they will most likely try to make distance, Keep the closeness and cyclone to slow them down after this, they can either run and just die or,
- Give another attempt to stun, If so SPARK, SLEEP and kill the archer.

Blademaster:

These are easy if you know what you're doing.
shell - Sleep - Spark - Weild and cyclone then Weild should always kill the BM, will of Bod will cause them to resist sleep,
Without sleep then you have to Shell, Plume shell and heal, The Will of Bod lasts 15 seconds and shell lasts 20 seconds.
After the 15 seconds sleep the BM, Weild thunder followed by tempest and cyclone should kill the BM.


Wizard:
These are most likely the easiest.

A wizards magic does not hurt a cleric to an extent where he cannot simply heal away the damage, I did this to Jammmy, Evoken and several other wizards, each attack you can simpily nurf the damage with wellspring surge.
The ONLY way a wizard can kill me is with Blade Tempest or Sutura and quick spamming skills.

Sleep - spark - 1 shot them with razor feathers.

if they have worked alot on their phy defence or Hp

Sleep - spark - Razor - Plume.

Venomancer:
The Robed Venomancer is the easiest class to beat,
Plume shell (for the pet) - Sleep the veno - spark - Plume shot till dead.

The HA Venomancer In fox form
I have had very little fights with these Venos, They Purge my buffs and I die fast. If I find a way to beat them I'll post it.


I know how to beat wizards and archers with ease, Blademasters, Barbarians and Venomancers I have only fought a few times, and I can only give my 2 cents on how to beat them

You've never been white named, how would you know how to fight a barbarian? I can't kill a barb my own level 1v1 - impossible. Their charm ticks before I can finally kill them(unless I crit - unlikely). Gimped classes, such as light armored clerics, don't stand a chance.

You're funny thinking archers are easy. And your thought of how they pk is also hilarious. Have you ever seen an archer before?

BM sees squishy -> Roar, skill, Aoelin blade, skill, you're likely dead here unless you got plume out and your charm ticked. 20 seconds, he holds you into another stun lock -> you desperately try to heal. You've never been in a situation like that, or any pvp situation outside of duels, so you wouldn't know. If you manage to live after they've gotten close to you and put you into their hellish stun lock, good for you.

Jammmy and Evoken fail as mages. Emo brats running around thinking they're pro. If you manage to get 1 hit on a mage, all he has to do is fow -> kill. Yeah, their damage is null, but they hit a lot faster than we do.

A robed veno can stun you and kill you in the matter of seconds. Shut up.

You know how to win duels by outhealing your opponent and dealing small amounts of damage between then. You're still not white named.

The rest of your post somewhat contradicts this, that or you're being misleading. A pure magic cleric can PK, but they are worse off than a vit build or a LA build. Leveling your skills makes up for most of the damage that your class deals, not focusing points into mag. Pure-Mag are excellent in PVE, but everything changes in PVP. In group PK situations they drop every other second, leaving them no time to get off a shot. This is one of the reasons that I opted for a vit build. If you're really rich you can attempt to make up for that HP by refining your gears, but I would still recommend allocating a few points into vit for robe users.

Clerics are an excellent PK class 1v1, but they suffer in group situations. I've found that in group situations they are a good focus fire and support class. As always it depends on who you're fighting and how good you are at managing and effectively using all of your skills. Yes, it's true that barbarians are a hard class to beat, but this is not unique to clerics. Nobody else can beat them either, except perhaps mages. Nevertheless, I've heard stories about clerics taking down barbs using a leveled tempest. Archers are probably the bane of clerics existence though...

Also, you may call LA clerics a gimped class, but I've seen devastating results from them in PVP past 90. Since they have an edge from the extra pdef, they are able to tank hits from archers, instead of simply flopping over. The most gimped class, IMO, are full attack clerics. Full attack clerics consider some of their skills more useful than others, when really a cleric must utilize all of their skills to win in PVP situations, especially in group PVP. So yes, a pure-mag build can win out in a few PVP situations, but unless you are a master at dodging attacks from archers, survivability > damage is the way to go.
