Back Off Cat Shops

I find it terribly frustrating at times trying to click an NPC that not only has players around it but Cat Shops as well. A buffer zone of a certain distance away from NPCs for Cat Shops would solve this issue.

You do realize you can solve this problem by holding shift while clicking on the NPC, right?

Sure do thats not the point. Its crowded enough at some NPCs just trying to get to them is an effort. Theres no reason that shops need to be that close.

I agree there is plenty of room for cat shops, that there is no need to crowd the NPC's. Not to mention the fact that as crowded as the cat shops sometimes get how do you expect to get players to your shop when it is in the middle of a pile of shops.

I have a suggestion for this. Maybe designated areas? Like a flea market zone in each town? Or perhaps make it so when a player clears to near a NPC it would say cannot set up shop here. I would rather see the shops set up alongside the edges of roads away from NPCs we all need to visit as well as it keeps the roads clear too. There is a real bog down walking through a cluttered street of shops. I believe the shops are a wonderful feature of PWI, but we need some kind of way to clear the area for our NPCs.

I agree. With other online games I've played there was a minimum distance a shop had to be from an NPC and also shops were only allowed on the side of the road, not in the road.

I think it would be a good rule. West Arch is insane

West Arch is ridiculous. I'll pay more elsewhere just to minimize my time there. (Not that I shop much anyway....)

would be awesome if you were able to do other things and still have a shop... (not in cat form obviously, but something similar maybe to the way ffxi did their player shops)

You should see right before a faction has a TW. EVERYONE is huddled right by the teleport master and it is insane. Well, my opinion, I actually like having catshops all around west archo. When I'm waiting for a bid to end or the 10 minute CS timer, I just walk around looking around at catshops. It isnt all that bad, you can still easily click the NPC you want to target.

They could fix the TW crowd if they implemented the housing system =P guilds could meet there and maybe even help with the cat shops because you could sell stuff in your house lol idk
