Thx., I'm just missing "evasion" now.

I believe blademasters get +10 evasion for each point in dexterity, and archers get +6 evasion for each point in dexterity. But I do not know about other classes.

I do not really know how accuracy and evasion work, but I would guess something like "chance to hit" = accuracy / (accuracy + evasion), with accuracy coming from the attacker and evasion coming from the defender. (Except, of course, some skills never miss.)

Eff, its been a while, but uh, what I know about accuracy and evasion:

    BM:
    1 dex = 10 accuracy, 10 evasion,
    Mage:
    1 dex = 5 accuracy, 2 evasion,
    Arch:
    1 dex = 8 accuracy, 6 evasion,
    Priest:
    1 dex = 5 accuracy, 2 evasion,
    Barb:
    1 dex = 8 accuracy, 8 evasion,
    Veno:
    1 dex = 7 accuracy, 6 evasion.

Unfortunately I have no idea how they interact with eachother (in terms of total evasion vs total accuracy) but from the above, yeah, bm's get great total accuracy / evasion later on (re: fist bm's)

I think I said in my initial post that there would be have to be hundreds of trials over several characters to accurately pinpoint this.

Edit: No, I didn't, I said that about defense. But yeah, it'd be needed for evasion too. Considering the demand to know the formula so players can accurately assess it's value and how hard it would be to obtain, someone should just go do it, shouldn't take more than a few days with the right people.

    Secondly:
    (1) Equip a bow.
    (2) Then equip an arrow with a crit bonus
    (3) Switch back to your normal weapon
    (4) b:victory

That does nothing at all: it is nothing more than a visual glitch, and unless you have a bow equipped you will not get the extra crit %.

question, how does this values work to determine the %accuracy and %evasion between opponents?

I mean, if I have X amount of accuracy and my opponent has Y amount of evasion.

how X and Y work to determine the Z% of probable landed hits when we fight?

Still waiting for an answer on this

The formulas in this thread help me daily. In fact, I spend a good few minutes each time I think about upgrading a piece of gear versus what level I think it will last to determine how much damage reduction I will end up having. Especially as a cleric, DR comes in to play quite often; if I want to maintain 50% DR, I have to make gear decisions, with which formulas come in *very* handy.

Aside from this, many people in many different games, as well including this one, find more fun in planning out their gear choices and builds by using math instead of playing around with guess-and-check.

Seriously, this isn't a function of "I was bored"; quite a lot of us enjoy numbers. =P
