leveling equipment?

noob question:

so you got this nice socket, refined weapon/armour, and it's level 4, but you gain levels yourself and then you can use lvl 5 equipment: how do you transfer the weapon/armour/ring to level 5? i'd really like to know!

    You can't upgrade armor to higher lvl armor. You'll have to buy new gear.

    for real?? but what's the use of spending all the stuff on your equipment then :\

    Try not to spend too much on your equipment until you're sure you'll stick with it for a while ;)
    Most people start really spending money on armor around 70, weapons around 60.

    Unless I'm mistaken, which I could be because I've never actually used the process, there is an npc in west archosaur that allows you to move your refinements from one piece of equipment to the next. If someone knows more....

    I believe that needs a cash shop item that isn't ingame yet.

    it requires some Yuyan Stone or whatever it's name which comes from high level item decomposing.It's lvl 9 stone if you're using gem combining at Jewel Crafter.
