Shaodu Cub Lvling?

I just got a shaodu cub, lvl 20, as a gift. This may be a noob question but
where do I lvl him. He can't fight mobs at my lvl. Thx for any info you can
give.

    make sure he is highly fed and loyal , above 50% at least to get the highest xp gain of 150%
    At your lvl you can easily one shot mobs of lvl 30 even so, grind as many mobs as you can for his lvling.
    Any mob around his lvl will give it the max xp increas of 15 per mob.
    So as long as you keep checking that you can even go grind lvl 19 mobs.
    Once he is around 52+ he soon becomes able to even handle your lvl 64 mobs sort of.
    Till that time you need to grind on lower lvls to lvl it.
    It doesnt even have to attack itself so you can put on guard-or defend-or stay, but by the time you one shot a 30 mob he cant reach it anyway so.
    A cub can easily handle 10 lvls above him.

    Or not-so-secret option B: Room 4 in the Cube of Fate (Mice Bashing).

    Full of 1-hit mobs which give you (effectively) no exp, but your pet will get full exp. If you run around casting while your cub runs about after different targets, you can rack up alot of pet exp very quickly.
