Way of the Apothecary - Level 4 Skill

I'm trying to get level 4 Apothecary skill. I've been to see Huajen and have purchased the Intermediate Apothecary skills book.

The book says to visit any city elder to learn the skill but none of the elders recognize it.
Appreciate any advice here that would point me in the right direction.

    Top of my head guess, is your Apothecary skill not quite maxed yet? I was able to start the BS and Tailor quests at level 3 but with 0 exp in either. Just my first thought, it may or may not apply.

    Well you may right, I'm not sure. When I check my skills they all say Mastery Level 20/30. Does that mean I've got to make more stuff.

    Yeah, need to get them to 30/30 in order for the Elder to train you to the next level. Good luck.

    i thought at lvl 50 and if ur skill is maxed u can get a quest to get it to lvl 4? so u can just bought the book and give it to the elder to learn it without doing the quest?

    There isn't really a quest for apothecary. Just talk to the guy then buy the book. The other 3 require the semi-nasty quest to do, though.

    It should be in your quest log I think, called Step 2.

    Yeah, I recently competed it...and made some guy selling rough fir in the AH very rich. x.x

    I have the book, I have maxed 30/30, I have enough spirit and coins but still it says that I am unable to learn the skill. Any advice, please?

    lv1-3 of any craft is learnable at lv5
    lv4 need to be lv50+
    lv6 need to be lv 80+
    lv8 need to be 99+

    to learn the respective skill lv ofc

    also, double necro, 2009 - 2010 - 2011
