Visualizations, where did they go?

Lathyriia - Heavens Tear

I was questing last night, lag was bad so I changed some settings. This caused my Visualizations (spell casting visuals, meditating glitters, etc..) to disappear. I put my setting back to where they were, restarted the game and I still can't see my spells when I cast them. What can I do to fix this?
