Water Pets

Is it really necessary to train one? If so, what level would we want it by? I'm about level 38 and there are some quests dealing with water enemies. I could either pot a lot or just tame a water pet and level him (ugh) and deal with them like that.

Should I just tame one? And which one is the best?

    You don't really need to level a water pet, but turtles are incredible tanks. They're the equivalent of a magmite, just better (IMO). I have 4 slots, so I keep a water pet handy. They level up quickly with grinding, so it's not difficult to keep them close to your level.

    yes turtle is the best
    uhmm water pets can be easily recycled.
    catch it use it while you can. throw it out.
    catch another one. or you can just level it but since most of your quests are not in the water it isnt really necessary

    Don't worry about a stable water pet until level 80, when you can catch the plumpfish
