Pros and cons of being a barbarian...

I'm new here, and still downloading the game, but I know I'm either going to be a barbarian or venomancer. What are the pros and cons of both? Can females be barbarians? In only ask this because from the pictures I've seen all the barbarians all look like dudes, haha.

    Barb is arguably the most expensive class to level along with clerics. Massive heiro usage, repair costs, money is an issue. But you have high survivablitly, and always a demand for parties. Whereas venos have it easy, most profitable class. And no, only male barbs and female venos :P

    I'm not as high lvl, but I play a barb and I have a veno. Here's my opinion:
    - Barbs:
    pros: Look awsome! High survivability and pretty demanded for parties or guilds. I never had any trouble with any normal mob solo. A great class for 2 man squad, because almost any combination is efficient (only barb+veno is a bit tricky).
    cons: Expensive. Low damage and low accuracy making it slow(er) to lvl, unless you use a massive amount of pots.

    -venos:
    pros: Great solo class, can kill almost everything by them selves. Fast to lvl. No costs on repairs, pots, etc, so great money makers. Unique luring ability.
    cons: At higher lvl's they will become less wanted. Pet skills are really expensive (so it makes up for the money making). Can't do anything (or almost) without pet.
    Other: The foxform is underused but really interesting.

    A more specific answer to your male/female question:
    - Yes a female can be a barb, however the barb can't be a female. A guy can be a veno, but the veno will stay female.
    A lot of players have a character from the opposite sex, even for humans and elves. Don't let that influence your choise.

    wow...you must have some free time or have extra money laying around for me its hard enough just getting a bronze charm (which i accedentally sold for 500 coins on accedent because i had a nucklace that looked like it...)

    they are like 4 gold each so in the realy world its like spending 4 dollars on something that will last a good while there not that expensive. i get mine from the cash shop not from in game

    Is Barbarian or Blademaster the actual tank class in PW? Got a little confused, because the savage character in online games is primarily a melee DD and the knightish one the tank.

    Or different: Which one is the most likely thief type (you know, with dodging and melee damage and stuff). Not that I love thieflings, but it is the easiest solo leveling class most time ^^

    hey don't remind me i had like 4 mirage celestones that i was selling and i didn't put it in yet and i accedentally sold it then face palmed my self for being a noob and not looking at what i was selling but i don't do that anymore i just go with grinding and meditating its alot more cost effective

    thanks man, but i dislike them (since one ksed me twenty minutes ago) and I hate pet classes.

    May archer be a adequate solution?

    never played an archer so i can't tell you for sure.. i do know at 60+ if you have tons of coin you can zhen as an archer or mage .. thats fast leveling.. also as an axe BM you can aoe grind which makes them really fast solo levelers.. but again.. expensiveee

    tell me about it...thats why my BM is a pole BM greater dex and awesome skills to a point even though they can't do as much damage as others they don't miss as much

    Hm, i kind of like my barbarian, so tell me more about a decent tank and solo build.

    I just want to play PW occasionally, do not want to be that addicted to it. Which defense stat should I focus on primarly? physical res?

    And I go for max con, thus increasing str and dex only for equipment purposes. Right way?

    well that would make it so you would have alot of health just don't put any points in magic it does nothing to benifit you but if you go with basically all vit then you would be a a fast healer and you would have alot of hp points if you continue to lvl

    Level 10 and getting higher. Funny how most mobs not even bash me down to 80% health while my test twinks are getting critical after two hits.

    Besides is there anything to remove the odd my-wolfman-transforms-to-a-tiger? ^^ It's not that urgent, but it kind of destroys the whole wolf feeling ^^

    Barbs tank better than BMs, Bms are more in terms of dmg dealing and stuff, barbs can also be built to atk over tank, but tahts kinda fail in ways.

    BMs using fists or claws is the closest you can get to a theif, and you need to have like no life to train one. I had one till lv 24, i get knocked down to 20% hp from a lvl 21 mob b4 I finally kill it. Theyre the only melee class that can hit archers and best melee for magic users. And theyre the SLOWEST lvling class/variation.

    actually its not a fail...if you have high attack and have the feral regeneration at a high lvl you can take down mobs quicker and you might have to worry about your health but you can take down mobs quicker all you need to do is invest in pots or charms. being an attack barb allows you to get those quests that you need to kill a few mobs done quicker. but i personally like the aspect of being a hybrid a mix between a DD barb and a tank barb(tank barb means that is has alot of health) so i can kill mobs quicker yet not worry about my health that much.

    That is absolutely true Ganiju. A Str build barb can do decent damage and does level faster over a tank build barb. BUT, come level 45 or 50 and you are gonna have to start doing what your class is made for i.e. tank, if you want to get invited to parties. Past level59, all classes get some uber skills and then the str barbs damage doesnt seem to be able to keep up. So after lvl 50 I'd say a DD barb's gonna have a tough time to get in on a FB/TT/boss party.

    Of course you can always go DD initially and then restat to a tanker build later.

    lol thats why i am making my barbs slowly transition for the change like putting more vit points every other lvl so i still do alot of damage but have enough health to deal with the mobs agroing me all at the same time

    Here's the thing about the Untamed.

    1) Both venos and barbs are survivors. Barbs can take a hit, and venos have a poor slave to take the hits for them.

    2) Both classes are great soloists. Venos can solo 99% of what they fight for the fact that they act as a wizzy, cleric, and barb in one, although not as efficient per area. Barbs can solo because we just don't die. I have experienced battles on my own that would have killed most people, and I can tell about them if it is requested.

    3) Venos are great moneymakers. They don't have to worry about repairs or potions like barbs do. But then again, good barbs don't have to worry about HP potions anyway. I always carry some with me, but I only have to use them when there is an unexpected change in the battle.

    4) People love barbs. In this game the 3 tankers are BMs, barbs, and venos. But then once you get to higher levels, there are monsters that cant be tanked by a BM or venos unless they are a high enough level to where most people will tell you to find someone else. Therefore, barbs are in high demand for fights such as those. Barbs are also highly valued for our buffs. I've been brought into squads just because of my buffs, whereas most times a veno buff is simply a bonus.

    i;m using the tanker build but getting skills in human form i have acouple of skills i'm keeping up in tiger form if i have to tank. only putting str and dex for gear rest is vit. i use hp and mp charms b/c too me they are cheaper and last longer than pots and are more effiencent plus with charms i solo my own elites for quest. with mp charms u can also unleash more dps b/c u can spam more skills that use MP
