Newbie Question

My friend has confused me about how stats should be distributed on my venomancer. With my veno I am using swords that are bought from the blacksmith rather then wands. Currently my stats are

str - 26
vit-11
dex-12
magic-11
lvl - 9

I want to continue using the swords however I find that sometimes I am missing when i attack monsters its not often but its annoying. SO I am wondering what stats should i be updating every lvl for the type of veno I am after. I wanted to get this sorted about before I get to a really high lvl and **** everything up ?

my friends said to add 3 str and 2 dex one lvl then the next 2str 1v 2m but i dont know if thats right

are you using magic swords or normal swords?
if you arent using magic swords you might aswell stop playing =/

If you want to use swords then your best bet would be to play on a bm. Venos aren't really made for that type of fighting - all skills, even the foxform ones, require a magic weapon.

how can i tell if a sword is a magic one or not ? if i havnt been using the right ones I might as well make a new person but even if i do I needs some help with the stats I still wont know what to upgrade each lvl

magic swords are under the magic weapon catogory of the blacksmith. and ur stats for veno are more like if u wanna melee i'm not sure for stats for veno
