~HellHounds-Hot or not?~

For all those living under a rock (or haven't been on in the last few days) Perfect World has released the new, limited edition HellHound, available at the Boutique for 50 Gold(a little steep..).
It cannot be spurred (and in my opinion doesn't look like a dog at all, more like a mutant rhino)
So what do you guys think? Is it worth the money or should we just stick with our usual mounts? (Kirin, Raptor, etc)

They look pretty awesome, but paying money for aesthetics should only be done for cars, houses and prostitutes.

I'm not in-game at the moment, so can't squiz at them.. but about the whole unspurring thing... There's basically a definite limit on how fast mounts are gonna move. I forget what it is, yeah, not in game. 11 or 12 m/s or something.

If the hellhound is at the limit already, then spurring would imbalance it. So just think of the money you save on spurs.

If the hellhound isn't at the limit already, then it will most definitely become spurrable later on.

Personally, I don't reckon any of the mounts are worth the money. AFK flying is the way to go.

The best thing you can do is save your money.. buy yourself the cheapest aerogear there is, and then pimp it up with wind widgets.

As for the people whining about its price... they all forget.. the hellhound is a luxury item.. a status symbol. If it was cheap, it wouldn't be as awesome to own one.

Why does noone looks at the hound's Speed ?
It IS allready Spured with initial 10m/s and Max Speed 11m/s.

Its totally the same if you buy a rap or kiri and spur it.

Jus the lvl wont be lowerd from 60 to 20, but most player don care anyway

The hellhound is a waste of time unless you don't intend to partake in TW. Personally I bought the 10 gold flying mount and then paid a little under 15 gold to max its speed up to +3.0. I've actually passed people on land mounts using accelerate which gives +5.0. So as a venomancer, I actually hit 10.1 meters per second on it.

Keita_ibuki - Sanctuary

Personally, i really liked the look of the hellhound mount more than any of the other currently out mounts and future mounts, i like the whole covered in armor style to it, gives that mysterious/evil look to it. It surely does look like a cross between a wolf and rhino with that helmet on, yea, although it's one awesome looking helmet, i just decided to buy one with in-game coins on my cleric from sanctuary. I figured, why not? Since i'll be switching to the new Dreamweaver server anyway, mind as well ride around on the mount i've always been looking forward to. Hopefully there will be a second chance to get it once again on the dreamweaver server in the future, if not, that'd be a bummer, but nothing to get riled up over.

Cotto - Heavens Tear

I like the mount personally. but for 50 gold I would have rather had it go 12m/s max like the lion since it was going to sell for so much and be considered "rare". =/ oh well right?

to be honest i really do not like the hellhound, it seems a total waste of money for what you get. The kirin and christmas elk are better than this. For one they glow and look well more attractive, this sure it has extra speed but can you spur it to increase it? can you lower the lvl requirement also? there is a lot of questions around it.
