Cube

Right, lets put the cube to the test.
Seeing as i'm quitting my current server and joining Harshlands when it is launched, i'm gonna blow all my cash on trying to win the cube (which i have never successfully done before), i have close to 8 million coins and am determined to beat it.
I am just interested to know who has beaten it and how much they spent on getting to that final room.
If i do not win at least ONCE then i should be dubbed the most unluckiest player in PWI, wish me luck!

It is very simple, the luck aspect only affects how much money you have to spend to win.
You can get extremely lucky and win without spending a dime, and only use about 15 tickets. Or you can get all the crappy rooms, have to restart a million times, and use over 50 tickets.
The most I've ever spent is 600k and about 50ish tickets, but I hit all the worst possible combinations of rooms.
I've only beaten it twice, but the reason I haven't beaten it more than I have is not because it's hard, its because I don't have enough money. I have never once won the million from the chest rooms, and land on them every single time. I also never had a single mold drop from any of my FB's, so I really have no cash flow whatsoever. With 8 mil, unless you are mage and under level 45, you will be fine.0 -
Cool, thanks for your input, knowing my luck i will probably win first time through winning 5 million coins and end up coming out with more money than what i went in with, if that happens then i will give my money to some very lucky people on the Sanctuary server before i leave b:victory0

i've beaten it 4 times.. only unsuccessful one day and that was cause i only went in with 18 tickets haha (i was 1 chip short of my mold so i just wanted a chip room.. which ididn't get).. the days i did beat it.. i went in with 30 - 40 tickets.. each time i've spent atleast 100k .. the last time i spent 300k and got 3 mirages and a sadness card
i've gotten one ecstacy card though.. all in all cube is fun and not that hard (for barbs atleast haha)0 -
The times i have tried i ALWAYS hit the 100 second stand room, now i wouldn't of minded so much but i had 45k left on my charm and each time i finish that room it takes 15k off my charm, and i hit that room 4 times in one session >.> you do the math..0
-
last time i did it i got the final 100 second stand room.. took about 30k off my charm .. it hurt but thats what i buy charms for.. to help me survive0
-
did many cubes... many money lost in here too ... but a fun challenge all in all . .and i always come out with some chips
I did beat it once.. with a succession of "simple" rooms ( no "100 sec stand" God.. i hate that room ... Ext one is the worst ... )
Did get 2 or 3 times the extasy card.0 -

I've gotten an ecstacy card like 3-4 times before, but never won Cube. It's actually really addicting.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
The few times I've won it have been fairly easy wins. The times I have not won it have been infuriatingly unlucky. Pretty much if it looks like my luck isn't on that day, I don't bother wasting my time.0

I hate the 100 second stand rooms. How do they expect me to survive for 100 seconds when I die in 3?b:surrenderMain characters
Celestial Sage Venomancer Zoe - 100
Sage Barbarian Malego - 910 -
Just won my first ecstasy card, which is just typical considering i'm not gonna be playing on the server for much longer.0

On my 73 BM I have won it 1/2 times trying it, on my veno I win 2/3 times, the rest of the time I get frustrated and stop trying. As for tickets and money spent in a single run, it varies widely. One day I tried and tried and tried, hit room 47 (the final 100 second stand room) 3 times, and I have never beat it (I only have 3k hp for crying out loud!), among other bad rooms, I hate the PvP rooms with a passion, and quit after using about 100 dice tickets and a few million on the treasure rooms (only 1 extasy card the entire run >.>), then I came back like 15 mins before teh day was due to roll over and beat it in 9 minutes, first try.
In the past couple of days though I have gotten extremely lucky on my veno, finished teh cube in minimal time with minimal cost, and one run I got an excitement card (5 mil coins ^^) and of the last three runs I room 49 twice (5k exp and 1k spirit per kill, really easy for venos, I can generally kill 18 in the 2 mins), so I have been getting really lucky. All you have to do though is be really lucky, and just stay calm. Results of the cube can vary greatly, but if you can finish it regularly and cheaply, then by all means do so, its great supplemental exp.I am the biggest hypocrit you will ever see or hear, and I'm not afraid to admit it.

I've played the cube many times.. and I used to beat it everyday under 30 mins.
Now I believe they nerfed some of the rooms to be harder.
Room 47 has changed... those 100 secs now feels like 1 hour lol..[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Flying to continue my journey..0 -
ah cmon that last 100 sec room isn't THAT bad haha.. godlike i'll totally take any spare coin you have off your hands free of charge.. haha good luck cubing!0

The last 100 second room is THAT bad for anyone with under 4.5k hp. Of course any squishy can get lucky if they saw someone who could beat the room go in.
Wait about 95 seconds after the person has went into the room and then go in and hit the sides fast. The person who went in the room first has the bosses aggro so when you survive for 5 seconds the person who came in first leaves the room the boss doesn't have aggro and won't aoe anymore. Happened to me a few times.
It could work by someone dying who had the aggro aswell but you wouldn't have a way to know when they died to go in the room unless you knew the person.0
