As u ppl know new servers r coming and ppl r asking other ppl hw their class is so :

I used to play a cleric but really hatted the low mp problem and being a non gold buyer , i couldn't afford charms either.

I was going through the mage skills and found that mages get a knockback skill but at a very late stage of the game . As a cleric i didnt like to constantly keep casting iron heart coz well it was a little boring .

I wish to know can a mge actually solo in pve till lv about lv 39 or so whn i get the pheonix knockback ?

Secondly , I saw that there r different elemntal skills which define a wiz skills . But i failed to see y there were lot more skills in fire tree. Secondly i was amazed to see that water tree barely contained any decent atk skills [pnly 2 excluding the 2 spark one] . While earth tree contained very hard hitting skills. [the ones that actually lead me to consider be a wiz]

Thirdly ,

Essential sutra eliminates channel time , but does it also eliminate cast time??

Fourthly ,

Does a wiz live upto its reputation to be a hard hitting class??

Fifthly,

Do we fight many magical mobs???[that just means that wiz high def and high atk]

Sixthly ,

I had a lv 37~38 cleric but it only had about 600 or so rep . The lv 40 rank quest requires 1k rep , is that even atainable or is lv 60 targeted coz the rank eqs r lv 60,

Seventhly ,

Do they EVER pawn pvp?? i prefer pvp over pvp w/o a doubt [but i ll be joining pve server still coz i afk a lot]

Eightly ,

Whts the preffered order of cast of skills whn fighting a non element monster with char lvl say about lv 30 .

Okay, I'm gonna reply in chunks..
I used to play a cleric but really hatted the low mp problem and being a non gold buyer , i couldn't afford charms either.

If you play a Light Armor mage, chances are you'll want a charm.
If you play as pure int, combined with Wellspring quaff you should be able to last quite a while.
I was going through the mage skills and found that mages get a knockback skill but at a very late stage of the game . As a cleric i didnt like to constantly keep casting iron heart coz well it was a little boring .

Knockback is at 39. That's not late at all.
As for iron heart... mages cast their own version of iron heart during grinding.
We call it potions. You can also use morning dew, but its channel time is horrendously long and is usually only ideal for post-battle casting. (Not mid battle)
I wish to know can a mge actually solo in pve till lv about lv 39 or so whn i get the pheonix knockback ?

All classes can solo in pve past whatever levels you define.
    Its a game of patience.
Secondly , I saw that there r different elemntal skills which define a wiz skills . But i failed to see y there were lot more skills in fire tree. You will find the 3 starter spells being used the most, along with Sandstorm in the earth tree. I suggest you take the best from each tree, because specializations in less than this usually doesn't bode well.
Gush is by far the most useful starter skill prior to level 89, imo.
    Thirdly ,

    Nope.
    Fourthly ,

    To be perfectly honest, no.
Wizards have wonderful spike damage, but when it comes to parties and bosses, archers do beat our dps by quite a bit.
I'm using a +5 Endless Ambiguity (level 80 HH weapon), and I still get outdamaged by a friend who uses a Soulsmasher (level 80 gold HH bow).
Of course, the bow has Gloom though.
But in my opinion, what truly shines as an archer doing boss runs is the fact their sharpening tooth can dish (potentially) the most damage in one shot.
Reducing a boss' hp by 16% (first shot only) can equate to enormous damage. Very useful for bosses with 1mil+ hp. (160k+ damage roughly as first shot ^_^)
    Fifthly,

Do we fight many magical mobs???[that just means that wiz high def and high atk]

Prior to level 60, you'll be facing quite a bit of physical mobs.
The worst ones are the ranged physical mobs (rattus... aiye).
After that, from 60 all the way to 80, mobs are mostly magical.
    So yes, we do.
    Sixthly ,

One man armies, help other people do fbs, plenty of ways to earn rep.
    Seventhly ,

I'll assume you said "pvp over pve".
Depending on how good you are with avoiding damage, using distance shrink properly, mages CAN be good in pvp.
Imo though, mages suffer the most from hierograms, because our cast/channel times usually take so long that we've given the opponent enough time to recharge their hieros.

Sandstorm is your best friend till 89.

You don't have much choices at 30.
Start with Stone rain, then gush and pyro it to death. :P
