How much does it cost to….
Refine with dragon orbs assuming the cost of Mirage Celestones are 25,000 were factoring in the cost of the dragon orb as well as the cost of the Mirage Celestones. We are also assuming that the price of gold from the cash shop is 1 gold = 100,000 coins. The numbers listed are for the refines alone. So the price I’m listing for +3 is for just making something go from +2 to +3. Not factoring in how much it cost to get the item to +2. If you want to figure that out just add the prices up for each refine up to the point you want to inquire about.
+1- 80,000
+2- 170,000
+3- 350,000
+4- 800,000
+5-1,850,000
+6- 3,950,000
+7- 6,500,000
+8- 14,050,000
+9- 24,400,000
+10- 44,850,000
+11- 83,200,000
+12- 152,350,000
So, to make an item +12 with dragon orbs it would only cost you 332,550,000 coins or if you want to convert that to gold, 3325 gold and 50 silver and if you want to go further with this at the rate of 53 gold per $50 that’s only $3137.26 Something tells me we will never see a +12 item unless bill gates plays PWI or the price of dragon orbs gets lowered a lot.
So now let’s figure out the price of shards as they go up. As I’m sure there are plenty of people that want to know how much these cost as their levels go up. Ill list them from grade to grade all the way up. Due to the nature of upgrading shards these prices are cumulative. The names for grades 11 and 12 are unique to each gem so they will just be listed G11 and G12.
Shabby(G1)- 530
Rough(G2)- 1,590
Blemished(G3)- 4,770
Common(G4)- 14,310
Average(G5)- 57,240
Beautiful(G6)- 228,960
Flawless(G7)- 915,840
Immaculate(G8)- 4,579,200
Perfect(G9)- 22,896,000
Incomparable(G10)- 114,480,000
G11- 686,880,000
G12-4,121,280,000
Bet you didn’t know that those gems would add up quicker than the dragon orbs did you. Surprise surprise… they do . To take a gem from 1-12 it would cost you 4,121,280,000 coins. If you were to buy gold then sell it for coins to pay for this job. It would be 41,212 gold and 80 silver which if bought at $50 a pop from PayPal or Google (which gives you 53 gold at a time) would be $38,880. Again something tells me we will never know what the glow of a weapon with G12 stones in it will look like unless bill gates or some other amazingly rich person plays PWI or the way the shards are upgraded gets looked at and changed.

I guess this is a post mostly to inform people of what theyre getting into when they refine their gear and buy shards to put into their armor and weapons but also its a plea to have PWI look at these prices and perhaps make them more reasonable. The prices for higher level refines and shards are outrageous! I understand making it difficult so not everyone can attain it but man this seems a little on the steep side0

There was a post regard dragon orbs bumped the other day. Also also, if you combine 1star orbs packs its cheaper. 10per pack 270k = 27k per 1*
1* = 27k + 50k = 77,000
2* = (4x 1*) = 108k + 50k = 158,000
3* = (10x 1*) = 270k + 50k = 320,000
4* = (25x 1*) = 675k + 50k = 725,000
5* = (60x 1*) = 1,620k + 50k = 1,670,000
6* = (130x 1*) = 3,510k + 50k = 3,560,000
Not gonna bother going further, but you can see it much cheaper(the further you go) to use the packs and combine 1star orbs.
Edit: SORRY used 1 mirage instead of 2, dependant on weapon/armor *fixed for weapon*0 -
Crafting orbs from lvl 1s purchased in 10 packs saves you 5% which at higher levels is a substantial amount.
You can also save by crafting shards from lvl 1s. This does require patience however. Crafting 1 lvl 7 from lvl 1s can take an hour of combining (learn to use the max button). Level 1 gems from the merchant cost 530. It takes 108 to make 1 lvl 5 gem. Thus the cost would be 57240 for a savings of 4.6% over purchasing at the jewelcraftsman. Not a big deal until you are crafting lvl 7 shards. A level 7 shard crafted from purchased level 5s would cost 960,000.
Crafted from level 1s the cost is 915840, saving almost 45k. Damn boring though. But in case you are patient here are the numbers:
LVL....QTY OF 1s....PRICE
2............3...........1,590
3............9...........4,770
4............27.........14,310
5...........108.........57,240
6...........432.........228,960
7...........1728.......915,840
8...........8640.......4,579,200
9...........43200.....22,896,000
I imagine crafting a level 9 from 43 thousand level 1 gems could take all day... but then it you have 22 million to throw after gems you must not have a life anyway.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Do you know the max gems a stack can hold? out of curiosity.0

One note about crafting/combining orbs:
Orbs are not as ez to craft as gems. Each progressive level orb requires 2 or 3 different orbs of lower levels. Level 4, for example, requires 2 3*, 1 2*, and 1 1*. If you crafted all your 1* into 2* you wont be able to make the 4*. Hope that makes sense... if not just remember to take your time and go one step at a time.
Happy to see my post about combining orbs has caught on... also happy to see pwi hasn't removed the 1 star pack to shut this down. It's sort of a reward for those smart enough to do the math b:victory[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

I put together a similar chart a couple days ago, and that's when I figured out that the common sapphire shard I got as a drop from a regular mob was really not-so-common (14k).
Also saw an ancient arbor for sale with two flawless sapphires added to it. Was thinking who in their right mind adds ~2 million in stones to a 500k weapon?0 -

People that don't realize it doesn't really take all that long to get to 70. or 80 for that matter. Not nearly worth the expense imo. Maybe at 90 I'll think about going past +3 or R5 gems, but doesn't seem worth it before, unless maybe for hardcore pvpers.0 -
The intimidating swirly effect is worth it.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
