Im re rolling Bm and was wondering what your biggest regrets or something you should have done but didn't when you where a noob. Fo examples wished i had stcoked up on mats while the mobs that dropped them where my level now it takes like 3 hours of farming for 5 silk thread to raise my level 2 tailoring skill. post yours so it could be used as a reference for other newcomers, and experienced players trying to re roll.

    My list:

-No storing mats for crafting weapons mainly.
-No doing some quests simultaneously. Since when you can kill two type of mobs, you can pick the best located mob every time.
-No using Bow and arrow to pull mobs out of the pack.
-Doing non-sence quest solo. In some quests you have to kill certain mobs that the cost in repairs and pots is so high that is not even worth it. Suggestion: squad and get the quest done. Later, grind other easier mobs to balance out spirits and resourses lost by squading.
-putting stats on mag and vit.
    -No developing crafting skills.
-Using only combos to kills mobs. You can do cheaper kills by using normal attacks, bow-arrows and diamond sutra. I still think combos are more flashy and nicer to watch.

My biggest BM regret would have to be goin past level one on the pre-29 skills, you don't need them and its a waste of spirit in most cases (axes are the possible exception, but only for aeolian blade). Other than that I was a noob and listened to some of the propaganda about fist BMs, especially the "must wear LA" ****.
I am the biggest hypocrit you will ever see or hear, and I'm not afraid to admit it.

I could prolly go on for hours about my biggest regrets....Not so much that I would re-roll but they are a bummer.

1.)not saving dropped mats(rough fur may be satan re-incarnated)
2.)putting 3 of my first 10 attribute points into magic....I dont even know what I was thinking
3.)wasting my sp on poor skills like tiger maw, drakes ray and draw blood, At this point I would never even thing about using those skills.
4.)not keeping up on my craftsman and apothocary trades...they are still at level one and to go back and farm for the mats you need for those, I cant even consider wasting my time killin level 7 mobs over a billion times to hope i can get a cotton thread
5.)wasting my coin on adding stones to all the equipment i ever had, as early as level 9 i was adding stones...what a waste of coin that was.

I am sure there are more....I cant think about it anymore. instead of crying over the mats I cant get anymore, I will just use my lvl 22 barb, or my level 7 veno, and instead of letting them level, I will just kill them whenever they get close TNL....b:cry

I always being curios about this. When I'm traveling, I always kill lower level mobs (green names on heads) along the way. For some reason, I still get good drops in coins and mats.

For instance last weekend I was getting out of Archo and I killed couple of dryads. The last one gave a level 20 something Axe.

Yesterday, I was going to Archo and in my way I also killed some dryads and the last one gave me another level 21 axe.

    I guess is luck.

My biggest regrets as a bm : wasting points on mag, and not using Diamond Sutra earlier. I dont regret maxing the pre-lvl 29 skills, i still use Draw Blood and Aeolian Blade about every minute or so when im grinding. I used to use Tiger Maw and Stream Strike frequently, and still do on occasion (mostly when im in a dungeon and its not good to use Atmos Strike b/c of the knockback). Anyway, my 2 cents worth for this thread.

I agree with stream strike and aeolian blade I still use those, i use stream strike cause it pulls aggro a lil bit...its not the best but it does work, and aeolian blade is way better than mage bane to me mostly because I hate to use the spark on mage bane and not have it for diamond sutra....I agree with atmos strike...its annoying to me usually, i will use it if i am getting my backside kicked just to get the mob off me, but other than that...blug.

I wish that I had realized earlier that one or two skills (not always the same ones) used in the right way are the key to grinding through any given mob. Levels 20-40 would have been a lot easier (and I probably would have spent SP more wisely) if I had. Now, I always start a new mob with a few tests and then develop a plan for the mass of them and I can cruise through them. This realization also made me learn to read the forums for discussions of how and why a skill was useful rather than just looking at bottom line opinions.

Oh, and for those regretting points in Atmos Strike because of the knockback penalty, let me pass on a tip. You can use Atmos as a finishing strike with some confidence even against magic attack mobs because Spirit Chaser generally casts faster than a mob can channel its magic attack. So, if your estimate is off and the mob does not die from Atmos, following up with Spirit Chase will usually avoid that ugly situation of having to re-close in the face of a range attack.

The only time i dont like Atmos' knockback is in the dungeons. Other than that, I usually use it as my finisher. Its set up like that in one of my combos.

I'm eager to get atmos strike.

I want to apply bleed first and atmos later and see if the mob dies on his way returning to me.

Of course, I would have made more damage prior using these ones.

At low levels, i dont think it will. But once it gets stronger, like lvl 4 or 5, Bleed an Atmos Strike might be enough ta finish off a hurt mob. Not sure, as mine is only like lvl 2 or 3. The higher the lvl, the farther back the mob gets knocked.

Made the multiple masteries mistake myself. Got the 1st lvl of spear, then switched to blades afterwards. Since i only got the 1st lvl, wasnt all that bad.

Actually, i didnt regret maxing Tiger Maw at all. Up till the high 40s, low 50s, i was still using it regualarly. Ive got pretty much every general atk skill maxed, because i still use those skills (save Tiger Maw and Stream Strike, which dont deal out as much dmg now as my other skills) pretty often. The only exceptions to that are Fan of Flames and Drake Sweep. Itll be a while yet before I can max those. Need a couple more lvls before i can max them.

It's too late for me to do this, but if I were to start again, I would buy a super inventory stone and keep every mat.

From lvl 1-35 I sold everything every time I came to town. I really wish I hadn't.

Ugh, my biggest regret was being a BM. Honestly. This was on PW-MY though. I kinda like to learn from my mistakes there.

And then I regretted spending money on gear/skills for my BM which I should have just used on my other toons

And then after that, my biggest regret was indecisiveness. I started off as sword, then went axe/spear instead. Cost extra on the skills and whatnot.
    Everyone here is ridiculously oversensitive.

I don't really mind maxing out anolian blade since that's a decent damage/stun skill so I can get off something else and drake's ray or w/e is (for now?) my only long range attack at the moment.

I was dumb and got tiger maw to 5 along with blood but I use those so I don't see that as spirit wasted

I still use Draw Blood too. And I'll always keep using it.

As for the topic, I don't have any regrets at all.

Biggest regret is going sword and now stuck with mediocre damage output in comparison to axe users.

Am I the only one with no real regret?
LOL, maybe its cause I was confused by all the different skills, therefore I read the guides first:P

Ahh, I thankfully didn't make the mistake of putting mag points...buttt

    -selling all equipt to npc's
    -not farming mats
    -not saving mats..
-levelling draw blood, tiger maw, and stream strike to lvl 5
    -uhmm....
Iunno that was about it, I could probably think of more..
Maybe, I always like sword and blade BM the most, but I like the power of axe, so just maybe I regret goin axe...no...yes...no?
