Can't Find Veteran Vu's Comrade

Help! I just can't finish this quest. All it says it's somewhere in the west, and I've literally spent hours scouring around with nothing to go off of. If anyone recalls this, please give me any info you can. ty :)

    Unfading Nightmare
    1. Speak to Old Veteran Du (130, 679) Town of Arrivals
    2. Investigate the giant skeleton (ON THE GROUND at [105, 665]) Note:
    Note: Auto-popup. For a marker, by the big skull. Run around the coordinate on foot for a bit. It can take 2-3 seconds to trigger the quest However, you must stand still when accepting quest continuation. Must not be in motion

    -Obtain 1 Bloodstained Letter
    3. Report to Old Veteran Du (130, 679) Town of Arrivals
    -Reward (Gold: 5500 Exp: 25% of the current Crazy Stone's Exp amount SP: 1/5 of the Exp recieved from quest Rep: 5)
