Basic Inventory Stone

I just bought the basic inventory stone and I went to the bank to take the quest. I turned it in and the stone disappeared but instead of having 40 slots of inventory...I still only got 32 slots. Could someone tell me what did I do wrong? Thank you for the help!
Edit: Sorry...I just figured it out -.-...I didn't know you have scroll down to see the slots..thought it would just make the inventory window bigger and fit it.
