how to learn pet skills?

I just recieved 3 books and it said pet heals, pet revives and pet tames, and asked to take it to pet skill trainer for instruction. however, i talked to the pet skill trainer and it seemed nothing has really happened, therefore, i really would like to know how to obtain these 3 skills and its pre-requisite is level and now i am already level 12, please enlight me with this issue, and wish for a clear explanation because i am still a newbie to this game, thanks.

    go to the pet tamer, click tame pet and it'll all be there

    I'm now lvl 14, and I still haven't got the Tame skill... I really don't know why. Have talked to the pet skill trainer and the venomancer trainer.. Is there a quest I have to do to get the skill?

    Yes, you must complete a quest to recieve the pet-taming skill. In formation on this quest is found in the guide I have linked.

    Once you have bought a new skill from the Venomancer Trainer or the Pet Skill Trainer, you will have to press R to bring up your skill card. Find your new skill on the card and drag it onto your skillbar. You will not be able to use the new skill until you do this.

    technically, you can use a skill right from the skill card window, without ever dragging it to any of the speed bars. granted that that's usually too cumbersome for any skill you might need in a hurry, it's how i always use town portal, myself.

    True, but Town Portal is about the only skill I'd ever use straight off the card. XD

    LOL if anyone tries to use ALL their skills off the card, and never touches their skillbar.
