Kay, I'm obviously a level 45 wizard, and I'm just learning the pain of grinding.
What to grind at my level?
I know I can go grind those Metal Element birds above sundown, but those are level 48 so are there are monsters that would be better?
I'll stick to the birds until I get an answer~ XD
TY In advance >=)

Hehe, I just posted a thread like this! ^_^ Copycat! xP But for 45...I'd say somewhere around Heaven's Tear...as long as it's your level, you should be fine.

EDIT: Also, anything in the air/water gives more EXP, so try to look around those areas.

Yeah, it's me. Don't read to much into it, though; I'm only here for myself now, killin' time and chillin' when need-be. So sue me. Tch...

Get some good fire resistant armor and upgrade your pyro shield, and try your luck on the foxwings north of Misfortune. It may be a bit to high level for you but if it is its a good place to farm later on. It's what I farmed at lvl 48.

yeah level 45 is a pain... to low for the metal above sundown, to high for the lvl 41 vipions. I would go for the mobs above sundown. Even though they are a bit hard, it is you're way to go, because the next flying mobs are lvl 50 vipions above hidden hero village.

    Also a lvl 45 Wiz here. (Clearly / : )

I'm grinding East of Sumor camp, near the Windmills. Kiting the Weezblooms.

They're level 43, good drops, and have no ranged attacks.. I'm having fun.

Just don't come and bust in on my parade... Don't want to have to race for each Weez.

imo, grinding should always be kept in the air simply because of the 1.5x exp multiplier. (or water if you can)

If you're a wizard, try for water mobs WHENEVER you can. Sandstorm + Stone rain combo = <3

Just to pass on something to help with general grinding against any element mobs, might have to level up to get these spells but worth it.. I got a combo that I can take most mobs my level or slightly higher without taking more then 1 hit per mob, usually 0. Always use the blue shield when you do this, you wont get hit so pdef or mdef doesn't matter, but you'll eat through pots\charms with the speed you can kill.

Get max distance then release a combo of:

Sandstorm, pyrogram, Force of will, gush, devine pyrogram, pyrogram, will of the pheonix

This will hit the mob 2 times, force of will makes them run away from you then you hit them with a gush. While they are struggling to get back to you you take them out with a couple pyrograms and shuve them away after if they are magic resistance or increased life. For the harder to kill ones I find an escape route, hit them with the combo then distance shrink outta their range. Once my force of will gets to about 1/4 left to cool down I start the combo again.

I sooo don't like that combo, its wrong in so many ways.
First of all don't initiate with Sandstorm until it gets level 5+, otherwise you lose too many range for only a small increase in damage. Start with the first rock spell (forgot its name).

Also divine pyrogram in the middle of a combo is no.... just.... no. Unless you sutra, but I don't see it in your combo.

Also second spell should ALWAYS be gush, for the slow down. It also do almost as much damage as pyrogram, and hits instantly. After that you have time for a normal pyrogram.

After that you choose, either phoenix to push it back then gush to finish, or if it has too many hit points, Shrink back to cancel his spells / get distance and finish him with gush / pyrogram / gush.

That's pretty much what I always do, spells changes a bit depending on the element but the basis stays the same. ALWAYS priorize gush for the slow and quick cast time, and always priorize distance shrink over force of will for the mana saving (you gain almost the same time at equal level)

I get what your saying, I guess I have leveled my skills to the point that this combo can be done without a single hit on me 7/10 times. My seal lasts 4.1secs so when I seal a guy that is right next to me he runs the full distance he can away.. that doubles the time of the distance shrink, has to run away then run back. I follow the seal with the gush because at this point of the combo the mob is at the max distance so it takes forever for it to get back t me.

I try not to use the pheonix unless it I have to, like when my seal is still cooling down. The reason is if you shuve them towards another group of mobs they will agro me to and I have to run. That being said until I was in my mid 60's seal didn't last long enough and I used pheonix a lot more back then.

I also agree with the previous post about not liking that combo. Although I can't explicity remember what I used for a combo at that level, I know I always started either with Sandstorm or gush. If you start with sandstorm, follow with gush. More or less every other spell should be a snare, or your taking damage you don't need to be.

Furthermore, as an aside, once you get around lvl 75ish, Glacial Snare should be your opener for every single mob you fight (some might dis120kagree with me, but I find the spell invaluable. I currently grind fishes (87 Undine mystics) with glacial snare, sandstorm, stone rain, sandstorm. This combo kills them 100% of the time barring increased life and increased magic resist, and they do not hit me before I die. Considering the 15s cooldown on Glacial snare, thats 240 mobs an hour for a total of ~120k per hour, 180k with scroll. And that's solo. Get a fishing group and its better xp than aoe at spiders.
