I have recently found out that there is a possibility that someone may have my credit card information on PWI. If they use it to purchase Zen, is there any way for me to find out who it is?

No but you CAN contact support here and have then check account information against your credit card use, and contest any charges if they are not valid. I would suggest providing a contact phone number so they can call you if they need too.

So, if they use it, I can contact PWE about it, and get the charges taken off my card. But the loser gets away scoff free?

PWE is probably able to refund you your money and MAYBE provide a name, but its doubtful. And how is it possible for a random person to know your credit card info and then use it on PW? Sure there are key loggers and etc. but I doubt anyone from PW is that desperate to get ZEN.

Using stolen credit card information seems like a good way to get an account (if not IP-wide) ban, for starters. There are also some relevant identity theft statutes, for those within the United States probably Title 18 USC 1028, but due to jurisdiction and chain of evidence issues prosecuting on the matter can be difficult.

Yes, if you believe that your credit card information has been compromised, please contact your card provider and request that they stop the card and issue a separate one. You may need to 'cancel' the card and get a fresh one in order to do so. The overview here is more relevant for general theft, but it has some worthwhile methods for this situation.

Feel free to contact us via the ticketing system. We can look for any activity with your card and let you know whether or not someone else is using your card on an account that doesn't belong to you.

More importantly, anyone found using a credit card without permission of the owner is subject to a variety of punishments, including a permanent ban on their account.
