Here's my quick and dirty guide:

    1. Farm TT Mats (costs you maybe a sub or two, which can be farmed)

    2. Sell to the lazy store bought characters who became even lazier and richer from this "Friday the 13th Event" for higher than before

    3. Enjoy your money.
b:bye you were all swell peoples

Here's my guide for the lowbies and people who are new to this game in general.

    1: Farm DQ items.

2: NPC them or sell them at an overpriced amount in catshops.

    3: I dunno. I just wanted to have a number 3.

First thanks for the long post. Evening hours at work are lazy and it certainly gives something to read.

Ok so far so good. You're LV80+ so I guess you know what you're doing.

I just never activated my credit card. Still in drawer.

Umm I think your emotions have overcame your senses. You're blaming the company for players have lot of coins. Company sells their stuff for zen (gold)
Catshop players and NPC's sell their stuff for coins. NPC prices (company responsibility) are still the same as yesterday are they not? Catshop player prices (individual responsibility) may have gone higher in some areas.

I know i'm just a lowly LV62 but i came long way to get here and I'm not gonna change game just because I'm jealous that some ppl have more coins than me. Or whatever the reason is. If you have coins - good it is chance for me to get something sold since quite few players have no monetary issues for a while. So no that advice will not work for me.

Negative. I like being male in RL and I like play male characters in game too.
That advice will not work for me. I already found the way to overcome grinding crises when I hit 60+ and solution works fine. if there's another grinding crises (situation where you don't seem to level fast enough for mobs you're supposed to grind at your level) coming in LV80+. Challenge accepted.

I know it's not true. You know it's not true. So why are you saying all this?
You came as far as LV80+ for cryin out loud. What happened to you? Yes it require discipline to rid yourself from jealousy so...rid yourself from it.

You do realize that quite few of Sanctuary players come from countries where credit card was considered luxury item just a few years ago? You may as well tell them to not buy Bentley cars or Tiffany jewelry. Don't worry they won't.
Especially now when economy has fallen back to the level it was back then where credit card was a luxury.

So now you tell through sarcasm them to go out there and exploit the next system bug? is that it? You weren't there or didn't understand when it happened and now you're jealous? You could have been millionaire now and you missed your chance?
However you're right there always will be next system bug as certainly as there never shall be a perfect op system for PC.

Anyway thanx for giving me something to read and do :) Will start going home soon.

    Ummm...its satire.

    But I'll respond anyways xD:

    1. It is good that you haven't used your credit card, my advice is for those who do.

    2. Yes, I am blaming the company for allowing a coin exploit bug to get through, and even more, I am blaming them for their "solution".

    3. There is jealousy and there is equality. To explain the difference, and pardon the hyperbole, lets take for instance the 1960s Civil Rights Movement. Would you tell African Americans that they were jealous of the whites? Now, lets tone down the exaggeration to a game of poker, where my opponents decide that they will play with 7 card hands to my 5 card hands. Am I jealous of them, or do I want fairness in the game? That is more like what happened here, I end up PvPing and competing in a Virtual Economy against these people, so any unfair advantage that they have is a disadvantage to me. Jealousy is hardly the issue.

    4. It is fine that you want to be a male character, but when discussing the issue at hand, which is how to get rich without dealing with PWI, being a male is detrimental since all Venomancers are all female.

    5. "I know its not true. You know its not true..." No, actually, truth has no bearing whatsoever on my opinion of the company and those who support it. I apologize for my generalization of "all" players, but then again it was just for literary impact. It wouldn't make for as interesting a read if I wrote; 'I believe that 65.2% of all players with Cash Shop items are either...' As for jealousy, read number 3.

    6. The situation of specific countries and specific people is hardly relevant to my guide, I didn't say; "Every person must follow these steps" to be rich in PW. In fact, at the very top I suggest that each person follows the ones that best suit them.

    7. I was there, I had 40 gold, I knew the Duke Rose Item bug since a guildee had told me, half of my faction and my entire squad left TT to go and exploit it. I told them exactly what I thought about exploiting a bug to the disadvantage of others, that it was unfair and that I would not do it. I was also under the impression that a game company would understand the importance of fairness to a game, but I was wrong about that part. That being said, if given the opportunity to cheat from here on out while playing PWI, I do recommend that others do it. After all, if you don't, PWI has shown that the only people who will get screwed are those who play fairly.
It's all well and good to save in-game money, but that's no reason to panic just because the price of gold rose a little bit. On HT I saw the price of gold at 104k last night - which in my book is easily an average price. I'm sure it's a bit worse on Sanctuary, but it'll come down again.

So the whole argument of "we legit players are suffering under inflation" really doesn't make sense - this is a small and temporary inconvenience. Seeing as this is still a free to play game (which I wouldn't mention except some people in this thread seem to need reminding), most of us are still getting way more than we paid for.

But what do I know, it's human nature to pick out the negatives... so if the economy dies of paranoia, than just throw me a cardboard box to live in and a few focus powders and I'll be fine. ;)

Look, the degree to which you feel something is a problem is irrelevant to me, as it is only relative. A "small, temporary inconvenience"? Relative to the existence of the Universe, we humans are a "small and temporary inconvenience" but well, I'm sure you think you are the bees knees xD. Relative to me as a consumer, and a game I play, I expect better service and I am free to feel that way and express it. I think PWI made a poor choice after they committed an error, and as a consumer I will do what I please with my money/time.

Thanks Falls for the good guide. I'll do number 7 and do lots of it because the more you do, the higher the chance they will take it and not do a rollback. b:thanks

Do what you want, I'm sure we can agree to disagree here. I just think you're making a mountain out of a molehill, except for:

What was? This thread? I can believe that, but in that case I stand by my comment that you are a magnificent troll. :P

Bump for justice! Unfortunately, it's not necro, since it's an even more stringent problem nowadays.

That *little inflation* that Miugre was calling, turned into over 10x the original price.(1 million+ for one gold on Sanctuary was simply game-breaking price)

Falls: If you can read this, I bow to you!

To the poster above READ THE GUIDE, charm = boutique item. Falls is trying to discourage use of cash shop items so your not supporting a

You (and probably other people) have falsely assumed that boutique items are cash shop items. (Edit: no, that was just a necro issue, except that you could use AH gold.)

You can get an unlimited supply health charms without spending any money, and without gaining any zen, and without using the auction house to buy gold.

    Anyways, here's my guide:

Step 1: You should ignore the guide posted that started this thread, it's funny, and stupid, but I do not feel that it was helpful.

Step 2: You should keep a journal tracking your resources and time, each day. You need to have a rough idea of your minimum/maximum/typical "coins per second" rate to notice when you are making outrageously bad or good decisions, and records can help you in your estimates. But you should not spend too much time making this overly precise.

Step 3: You should gradually try discovering new elements of the game. You will typically find yourself spending or wasting money on new things, but if you keep your learning costs relatively low you can discover all sorts of things and some of them will be nice.

(Efficiencies can help you become able to do new things, but I would not be too concerned about always taking advantage of minor efficiencies.)

Try and have fun, within the decisions you make, about how you want to do things. (And, if you are here with a high level character, you must get some kind of joy out of doing things repeatedly.)

Finally, if you feel like spending real money on this game, make sure that you take that real money from your entertainment budget, and that you stay within your budget. You need to have a good real life or you will not be able to play here.

Anyways, decisions that are good for one person can be bad for another person. (And I can provide example of this principle, if anyone needs me to be doing that.) [But probably not in this thread, since its a necro.]
