repeated, random shutdown

the game randomly shuts down completely, no "you have been dc'd" message, the client does not remain open. the entire thing just *POOF* disappears and on my screen pops up this grey "send an error report" message (NOT the same one as the windows default.. this one is BIG and has a bunch of questions it wants me to asnwer and has a bunch of asian letters all over it).

this stupid ****ing **** up just prevented me from going to tw. i am pissed. really pissed. how do i fix this ****?

    your not the only one this has happened to. I get this all the time the client just shuts off no error report or anything. I get maybe 5 mins in and game dies log back in for 5 mins and again it dies.. This only happens on my new computer too. How messes up is that?? lol

    I've had a ticket open on this since October of last year. They have tried to blame my computer, my video card, just about anything on my end that couldn't possibly be the client itself. Right now they are blaming my virus scanner.

    From the research I've done, it appears to be a compatibility issue between the client and DirectX. Suprise suprise, we recently heard through Google Translate and PW-CN that they are soon updating the engine, and it's DirectX version compatibility is changing.

    It happens less in full-screen mode because DirectX is able to take full control. The issue seems to be linked with windows and DirectX multi-interfacing key controls. (Veno's notice this when using alt-1 to send a pet to attack. While in windowed mode they get an error beeb from windows, this does not happen in fullscreen mode.)

    well i run 1 client on this computer in window mode. It don't seem to matter what kinda char I'm on or what i doing after 5 mins I'm gone

    Whether you run one client of five, it's still the same interface issue.

    the client shutdown on me twice today, after the first time almost all my coin was gone.
    why, how?????? i had like 27000000 coin, now there's only about 7000000 left.

    So I understand what's going on, due to DirectX changing from an update Perfect World suffers major issues, well, when is it gonna end, i wanna enjoy this game without it shutting down every half an hour, not to mention the character creation is messed up and certain mobs and npc's don't appear and sometimes they appear as "ERR" in big bold red, if ANYONE can tell me when this s*** is over with please do answer.

    2. I have a much more recent and much more up-to-date thread on this subject here.

    Myself and a few others are working on figuring it out, and we're doing a hell of a lot more than the PWE support team is.
