update server connection failed

"update server connection failed
Please try other update server"

This is what its telling me and i can't seem to fix it help
I understand they did maintenance i think as they do every week.
But its not even letting me update it. x.x am i doing something wrong or what can i do to fix this
(its 2:42 am)

    did your read the other threads with the same problem?

    server maintenance wasn't yesterday, it is right now.

    I find this odd. mind you I just installed the game, since i have grown weary of raiding the hardest WoW content. Either way, does maintenance normally take 4 hours?

    No it usually takes 2 hours, sometimes a bit longer though.
    Non-mule alts:

    Drazo - Venomancer - Dreamweaver - Semi-active
    Knatami - Barbarian - Heavens Tear - Inactive
    Drazorus - Archer - Sanctuary - Inactive
    Cidemami - Cleric - Dreamweaver - Inactive

    BTW, when this is going on, is it possible to ping or Tracert the servers? I tried that and wasn't getting anywhere, wondered if this was normal.

    Even if you ping or trace route them successfully, it doesn't mean the PW server application (software) is running.

    This I know, but it would make me feel better knowing it wasn't a problem on my end. maybe i'll just check back in the morning.
