Upgrading pet manager mounts

Is it possible to upgrade the speed of the horses sold by the Pet Manager: the Crimson Leaper and Dark Charger? They start off at 7.0 m/s so I was wondering if there was any item that upgrades from 7 to 8 m/s.

    I'm not sure...they don't have a spur for 7 to 8 m/s in the boutique.

You definitely can spur the in game horses because I had to do that to get one at level 20 and it does also upgrade their speed I believe.

If you want horse to go 8m/s just ride it. Ride it till it gets LV11. And Voila! 8m/s

So the mounts level up by riding them then, I had wondered, do you have to feed them too, I assume that they don't fight like a Venos pet.

Yeah in order to get its speed to 8 (if it starts at 7) you have to ride it (or just just mount and go afk until it gets to lvl11). Each lvl up nets it a .1 speed increase, up to a total of 1m/s at lvl11. If you want to get it higher than that however, you'll have to spur it.

Edit: As for feeding, yeah they need food. Raising its loyalty decreases the odds of you getting knocked back off the mount when hit by a mob.

Oh ok, so the spurs upgrade it's current speed, not it's initial speed. I thought they upgraded your mount's lvl 1 speed. So then I can ride it till it reaches 8 m/s and then use spurs on it, right? But then, will the mount's lvl drop down to 1 when you spur it? Because otherwise, how do people get them to travel at 11 m/s?

For example, panther at lvl 11 traveling at 9 m/s
Then you galewind spur it so it travels at 10 m/s
If it's still lvl 11, how can it reach 11 m/s?

    Thanks Impetus.
So I guess you can't upgrade the 7 m/s horse then? Or can you? If you can, using what?

ooh, i know the answer to this, the pet shop mounts (black and reddish horse) are 100% spurrable, i have a crimson, got it at 7 speed, it's now 9 speed and only at lvl 1.

im sure they can go up to 11 speed. what to do is grab the colour you want, ride him till he's lvl 11, spur him (since his speed is now 8 and can be spurred), his speed will now be 9, spur once again for 10 speed then lvl him up to 11 speed, or if you don't mind the 1 speed decrease then just ride till he reaches 10 speed, so they can reach 10/11 speed and compete with any mount no matter what, they're the same as the polaris/jaguar, it's just you must lvl them to 11 before they become the same as polaris/jaguar.

edit: oh, i should've mentioned this, the mount will become lvl 1 after spurring!

I checked the petmanager, but no upgrade available for a normal bought Horse ??!
Is there a GM or any1 that can verify this if its possible to upgrade or not ?
    (Crimson Leaper and Dark Charger)?

Strange posts of people saying that it can be done , while there is no such thing in the petmanager ?!!

    thx

ok, i have a spurred (10 speed) crimson horse (we are talking about the ones bought for 2.5m from the pet manager right?) and they can be spurred if you meet the requirements.

firstly, you need the horse (trust me folks, don't try this without one) then you need to ride it to lvl 11, once it's at 11 it'll be 8 speed (you get it at 7, add 1 makes 8 right?) now you go to upgrades of ride pets and treat it like a polaris cub/jaguar, i think their names change before/after spurring or once they hit a certain speed, my crimson is called swift redspeeder, now that you've spurred it with alacrity spurs (you did use them right? if not im obliged to call you haxor b:laugh) now your horse will be 9 speed (8+1=9 if my super computer is right) now, spur it with galewind or ride it, remember that no matter which way you do it, it will still be lvl 1 after spurring, so now that it's 9 speed, if you use galewind it should be 10 speed and same as a base hellhound (no kidding, the price is 10k cheaper b:chuckle) and you can treat it as a hellhound, just train it to 11 once again and you have your very own odd looking hellhound, or if you didn't spur it, you have a slower version. if you need more help pm me (usually on 2-3 hours, maybe less or more, weekends will definetely be more b:victory) or leave a post here.
