If pure wizards are as gimped as everyone is agreeing upon why has nothing been done as yet to make them more useful? Are there any upcoming changes to make us pure wizards better in PvP? It would seem as if we have been left in the cold!

I don't know where you're hearing that wizzies are "gimped"? In the upper levels, a wizzy which has been properly built and played can 1-shot alot of the other classes. In the end portions of the game, wizards do the most damage of any class. Sure, they're a bit squishy but that can be said of any spell-slinger.

They're probably hearing it from the wizard subforum where most of the posts are talking about how wizards are gimped.

Ugh. I have tried three wizards now, one already committed suicide because she just couldn't survive anything! (She's to be permanently deleted in about three more days of waiting.) She was the one who was the pure!!!! I can't for the life of me get a wizard to work for me. I'm beginning to think it has to do with my game play style more than distributing attribute points. My other two are leaning toward hybrid and can at least stay alive in close combat. I wish I could switch them both to blademasters now. :P

Has anyone with a wizard character abandoned magic for strength at around levels 10-15?
