Is it just me or are some items just plain over priced?

Yeah i kind of think that some items are just plain over priced.
The wheel of fate for example. 2 million i belive in my opinion that it is just too much. it isnt even that rare or powerful i have a 3 star raja spirit pestle almost as good. I see so many people with it i wonder how it is so expensive.

There's no such thing as overpriced items. Only people who try to sell them for too high a price.

If everyone selling the Wheel of Fate wants 2 mil for it, then no, that's not overpriced. That's how much it's worth.

If everyone's asking 1 mil, except there's one person who wants 2 mil, then yes.. that 2 mil one is overpriced.

Er.. more to the point though, gold weapons kinda operate in their own little economy circle. Think of them as an investment. You buy one, you use it for a while, then you resell it.. either at a profit or a loss. Basically, as long as you don't get ripped off, you're not actually losing money by buying it.

If everyone is selling it for 2 million and there are buyers, then it's not overpriced. Market price is the price at which sales happen, not the price that sellers wish the could get, nor the price that buyers wish they could find it for. If you don't like the price, don't buy it. It's really that simple. No one is sitting there forcing you to use a Wheel of Fate.

Like it was said before, it is only overpriced if no one buys it. Insofar as people are willing to pay the coin, who cares?

Wheel of Fate has -3% channeling right? (been awhile since i used one) Well that is the main reason it costs so much. Anything with channeling pretty much automatically goes for over 1 mil on Sanctuary

Those prices would be MUCH cheaper if the PW MY players didn't come here and set up most prices based on that version of the game.

There's more to it than that though.
Starting flyer gear would be overpriced at 80k. There are indeed buyers out there, and there are sellers, but it's still overpriced for what it does as it's basically a scam.

Bulk mats at greater than cash shop prices are overpriced. There are still sellers and buyers, but since they're available in infinite quantity for cheaper I would still argue it's overpriced.

I think the truly overpriced things are just -channel stuff in general -_-. Everything else is pretty fair; I think most prices reflect how useful something is (except flashy mounts and fashion...ewww). -channeling is just ridiculous.

Oh yea, and some molds ARE overpriced. 10M for Tauren cape? Okay.....How about I spend 10M to socket and plug a normal cape instead....

Just because some people will pay a certain high amount for a specific item does NOT mean it's what the item is actually worth. That's the problem most players have when selling something. They post prices solely based on what they see others sell them for or in some cases, higher than that.

I honestly don't know why you seem to blame all of us for everything you run into in the game, some of us are actually nice people you know, who focus more on helping out guildies and friends than furthering our own conquests. I came from PW MY and I usually price things less than people who never played it before.

And for the record, last I heard, even though our cash shop is 3x as expensive, their in-game item prices are around 10x more expensive there than here. If PW MY was setting the price it would be a heck of a lot more than it is now, and the cost of in-game things would go up every time a patch was released.

Like someone else said -chan and +crit are highly sought after items with a rarer chance to get than normal items so of course they are going to be more expensive than +hp items. We also don't know what stones (if any) were in the 2mil item, or what the refine rate was. All of that costs more originally to set the weapon up that way so will cost more when being sold.

All this being said. I never even got a Wheel of Fate and I sure wouldn't have paid 2mil for one.

because you cant get the 250 all magic resists on a single cape? because its the best cape? and decent hp mp recover on it too
drops from 1 boss and is extremely expensive from chips= high price
