LA for solo clerics?

Well, I dislike parties. They make things messy. There's issues with drops and other nasty stuff. Then I got to deal the HUGE egos that other players have(especially BM tanks *no offense*). So in short, I'm gradually preferring to solo my way through this game.

So far I've been creating an arcane "with some vit" build. While I have some trouble some pdamage mobs, I'm generally happy with my build. I spend almost all of my time slicing through mag flying mobs. Generally I grind and pk(although rarely) solo. However, I'm wondering if a LA armor build would be better. I know the pros and cons: better phy deff, but less HP and mag mobs are more difficult. As I head for lvl 70, what should I do: LA or keep with my build. I heard that the mobs lvl70+ are physical damage and I'd like to engage in more PvP

oh and If you comment, I'd prefer that you had some previous experience with actually being a 70+ cleric or you are a 70+ cleric.
and bro...fyi this isn't a story.

All people are idiodic but some are more idiotic than others.

Why would you demand a lv70? Anyways, it doesn't matter. In pve you can wear whatever you want, as long as you kill the monster before it kills you you're fine. Use cyclone, it slows and you can kite with it. Physical mobs don't stand a chance.

You might also have forgotten that clerics have the nifty ability to heal themself, so really, no mob stands a chance.

Well I see you are a grinder like I am, so let me share my thoughts. Having done all the quests from 70-80, the only physical mob I can remember are those stupid Adawolfs near Village of the Lost. I believe there are 2 different quests to kill them. There are also 3 quests to kill mini bosses (Steelfang Grimalkin, Spotted Fellis, and Ape Dryad) that are physical, but just stacking Ironheart and attacking is easy enough to solo them. Other than that, every quest mob was magical that I recall. You pretty much grind the falcons in your low 70's. Either the wood ones outside Sanctuary or the "non" ones outside village of the lost. I preferred the village of the lost ones because there's a much larger spawn of enemies. In the high 70's you grind butterflies. Again...all magical mobs.

Having just switched to light armor at 80 and doing all the level 81 quests. 4 of the quests required killing physical mobs. Light armor made it a breeze!

I recommending holding off on switching to light armor until 78 when you can wear both the Dark Pants of Hades and the Armor of Griefing Sorrow. Both are pretty cheap and have great built in health mods. Just save up your money to get the armor and citrine shards for it. Also, being able to refine it to +2 or more wouldn't hurt either, so stock up on celestones and cross your fingers. Remember, going to light armor, you would lose A LOT of health, so you need to counteract it or else it's not worth it. Aim to get to 3k health.
