Arcane Veno Build

I can't seem to find a Arcane Veno guide. I looked at the Comprehensive one and that helped a bit but I need a guide that does tells me when to put my skill points and where, ditto with the attribute points.
I googled it but I didn't find much help.
So can anyone help me?

Arcane veno? There's pretty much only one build... put points into MAG, and only MAG. Just enough STR to equip your weapon. Approx 9 mag, 1 str per 2 levels.0

Finally a simple answer. Thanks.0

No vitality at all?0

I have 60 vitality for arcane. I would not do without it.Main characters
Celestial Sage Venomancer Zoe - 100
Sage Barbarian Malego - 910 -
I personally go with approximately 12:2:1 (Mag:Str:Vit). Works for me. When STR gets sufficiently high you can start diverting into VIT or MAG as you see fit.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

Ehh...
If you're only gonna be PvEing, and nothing but PvEing, then I'd say go 9 int/1 str. For anything else though, I'd suggest going 6 int/3 vit/1 str... assuming you have your heart set on a robe user.Everyone here is ridiculously oversensitive.0 -
Even for PvE i find the 9 Mag : 1 Str build to be a tad too easily killed. People tend to act as if nothing will ever go wrong. Truth be told things do sometimes go wrong. I adusted to a build of 8 Mag : 1 Str : 1 Vit (which i dont know why noone else does, they either say 9:1:0 or 7:1:2) This 8:1:1 build provided the perfect amount of extra HP (about 4-500 in the 60s & 70s) to give me 1 extra hit before death which believe it or not was the extra buffer needed for either my pet to regrab aggro, for me to fly away, or my pet to nab aggro on a surprise add. Meanwhile the 4 points per level in magic still makes me a sufficient powerhouse (caparitively speaking) in my nuking capabilities, meaning most mobs my level and a bit above go down in 1 ironwood & 2 venomous scarabs, the same number of blows as i needed anyway as the 9:1:0 build.
TL:DR version; I suggest 8 Mag : 1 Str : 1 Vit per 2 levels.0 -
i've started a veno too and i was kinda bugged about the stats distribution but i think i found a decent one for arcane build 1 str/2 vit/7 mag for 2 lvl's... this will give me some hp so i can make my escape if my pet dies... if u guys find this build bad please point out why.

Darksorrow pretty summed it up. Go by her advice. you will live longer, nuke easily and escape fast if you steal aggro from your pet with multiple mobs attacking you, or your pet dies because you could not heal fast enough.0 -
i am a full magic veno
9 mag 1 strg per 2 levels
and i can say that without a charm i die in certain situations
(espesially range phys attack mobs)
so the 8 mag 1 strg 1 vit per 2lvl seems a good build0 -
If you are good enough, a 9:1 build will serve you well as long as you know how NOT to take aggro from your pet, and are careful about watching respawns and whatnot. I don't think I've died since like level 10 on my veno, excluding experimental trips to see if I could tank certain bosses yet, and I am 9:1. Its all a matter of what you are comfortable with, and how aware of your surroundings you are.
Also just in case something goes wrong, or I crit in the wrong place I am also fully HP sharded in all my armor XD0 -
i don't have a high lvl veno or anything but i have read alot of theese posts and to me the best one is 8/1/1 mag/str/vit which make it 3 magic then 1 strength and 1 vitality and every other lvl put 5 onto magic
Hope this helps someone0 -

Typically this kind of post leaves out defense ornaments which can go a long way. I tried a vit build on cleric thinking if any arcane could use vit: Cleric would be it. I paid millions to restat, lost over 1k HP, but am so much happier with the results. There is only one class I'd consider statting vit now, and that is Barb. Even then; it depends what you want to do. Range phys mobs are also extremely rare and avoidable.0 -

Veno class gets more benefit of Vit point than any other arcane class ( 12HP vs 10HP per vit point) also need to consider Vit adds magic and phys defense .
Anyway i kinda agree with you, i wasted so much on reset note too and i'm still waiting to restat PURE magic b:surrender0 -

i capped Lenie's vit at 40-something base; a bit over 60 counting equipment, last i checked. she's... kindof squishy, actually, needs the pets to tank. i could probably do with better refines, but TT70 just isn't worth taking past +2 to me.
if something goes wrong, i have enough time to bramble hood (provided i'm not too frazzled to remember i have the skill...); once that's on, i usually have enough time to kill one mob. maybe two. if i've gone and got three of them on me before my pet died, i'm probably better off flying away.
most bosses that AoE, i can run in and amp then run out and heal. some few bosses can get pretty darn close to one-shotting me while i do that, though. i remember dimentora getting pretty rough that way, a while ago when somebody else was herc-tanking him.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Heaven's Tear alts: KenLubin, Sou_Hon, JudyCaraco --- level 5x chars.0 -
