The term QQ originated from Blizzard's battlenet (the system on which RTS games such as Starcraft were/are played). QQ was the command to quit out of a game being played against another player. Often times a player who was losing a match would "QQ" ie. quit the game rather than lose the match. Then often the losing player head to the forums with an excuse for his loss which would inevitably lead the other player to tell the loser to "QQ more". Coincidentally QQ does look like crying eyes and the term became an amalgam representing players who incessantly lose and complain. The term quickly spread to most online multiplayer games.0
