Prickly Oddfoot pup

sorry if someone have asked this before but has anyone tried raising one of these?
Like most veno's i have a golem and a sawfly as pets.
As I was going grinding in dessert of Echo's I came across a lvl4 prickly oddfoot pup. It looks cute and I'm wondering if there's any good raising it all the way from lvl 4 to lvl 45 (my current level) in terms of combat?

    At level 29 it will have
    841 Health
    265 Attack (tame)
    611 Accuracy
    2257 P. Def
    2634 M. Def
    7 m/s movement
    441 Evasion

    It will gain 27.5 Health, 20 Accuracy, 80 P.Def, 93.3 M. Def and 14.5 Evasion each level, and it's attack increase should be increasing by 1 every 3 levels starting at 14 at level 30 with a possible 3-4 pt. jump at some point in the 30's.

    It's basically a magic tank that's really cute.

    how does it compare with a golem tho?
    as long as it can take a few hit physical hit and have a comparable attack to a golem, it should be fine for me :)

    but the defense is awesome
    hmmmm now that's a tough decision....

    P.S. for the second time......
    I forgot to take the attack rate into consideration XD
    its 0.8 comparing to the Golem's 0.6 so its actually kind of equal now (tide shifting to the pup...)

    My veno has a odd foot pup. My veno and my pup are at the same lvl, 40 for me personally i prefer it over any rock pet any day.

    It's attack will continue to lag well behind the magmite by 10 each level which will be immense and from level 29 to level 40 would come out to a 66 DPS increase the Golem got that the Oddfoot will never see.

    In the end, the Magmite is like dropping a 12-ton anvil on something's head: it's effective and gets the job done, but, in a way, it's over-kill 90% of the time.

    in that case i will stick with my golem
