Veno help plz?

Ok, on my Veno I got a pet now after I did the quests, hatched the egg, ect ect. Now when I try to leave town (Lost City) he follows me to the city gates, and then stops. I can't get him to follow me out of town. What am I doing wrong?

    you're not doing anything. unsummon the pet and resummon it outside the gate. it happens to everyone, simple to fix as that.
