I dont know if this was asked before or not...
I dont visit here much.
Anyway... I listed an item to auction with start bid at 450k and instant at 500k with a 24 hour limit.
After about 8 hours, I received a msg saying that my item was sold.
But when I went to get my money it was only 475500 instead of 500k......
Now the item was bought instantly because 24 hours didnt pass.
Why did it cut on my pay?
I know there is a fee you must pay to list the item, but is there some other thing you must pay to lower your profit?

There's a fee on the auction system. The bid you receive will be a bit under the actual bid.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

The fee is 5%, but you get your full listing fee back if it sells. I think 5% is way too much. We have so much lag in archosaur because noone wants to use the Auctioneer, so instead we get catshop city. In another game (nameless as per forum rules) there were in game player bazaare's & an auction system, but the fee'ing was flipped. There was a small listing fee that wasnt nearly as cost prohibitive for the auction house, and then a rather large fee on any bazaare sales within a cities limits (a tax). This did lead to minor bazaare towns outside of city lines, (which i thought was better, lessened in city lag & you could basically chose to go to the player shop area or not). I know the fee at the auction is meant to be a gold sink, but at the moment its too high that it doesnt do the job. If fees were halved, i'm betting more then twice the items would get listed and it would still be a gold sink. Then as more and more people grew to understand the auction as the best way to buy and sell, the cat shops would fade (but never dissappear) and almost everyone would use the auction.0
