I am getting a strange flicker in certain trees, you can see lines and it looks like its an error on the map or something only seems to happen with tall oaks. Am I seeing artifacts maybe?

My system is AMD XP 64 X2 5200+ (running at 3.037 ghz)
4 GB OCZ PC6400 SLI DDR2 800 Memory (running at 900mhz)
BFG NVidia Geforce 8600GT OC (clock 660 shader 1450 memory 1440 mhz)

Now I have my system slightly overclocked but I tried stock settings and that did not change anything.

Yes my heat and temps are fine. I am just at a loss as to what the problem is as I have done an artifact scan and that revealed nothing, my gpu does not run any hotter than 64 celcius and my cpu goes no higher than 53 celcius, idle its at 34.

I'd also recommend making sure you have the most recent drivers available for that device from nVidia. A sizable number of cards come with chip-release era drivers, which can be... unpredictable.

Have you forced antialiasing from the nVidia Control Manager? That can sometimes cause those types of artifacts.

ahh yes I have override Anti-Aliasing set to 8X , otherwise the lines are too jagged. I tried enhanced and also allow the application to control aliasing but still didnt see a way to get 8X appearence.

However that did not change anything eithier when I switched to application controlled. I am posting a screenshot, it doesnt quite show the flickering of images when moving but the lines are there. Maybe its negative load bios or something? I have it set to clamp for best quality.

This current screenshot has Application controlled Anistropic and Antialiasing going:
    Anistropic Optimize is on:
