    Kino's Journey is totally win. And very true about it making you think differently. The closest thing to a philosopher's anime there is (along with Mushi-shi).

    Death Note is in my opinion the best manga to anime transition ever.

    It's a amazing and well thought out story.

    But my personal fave is Eyeshield 21 because I love football...and the racial stereotypes are hilarious.

    Karin

    Karin not only is the main character, but the anime is Called karin, and the Manga is Chibi Vampire. Yuna Kagesaki is the original creator of the anime/ manga, and gave permission for a novelist to write a Novel based on the anime and Manga called, Chibi Vampire: The Novel.

    Liar Game (Psychological, very intelligent thriller. Strongly recommended if you liked Death Note =D)
    Bakuman (by the authors of Death Note ^_^)
    Fairy Tail (Fun!)
    Full Metal Alchemist (Interesting)
    Tales of Symphonia (I know nothing of the game but the manga was really captivating, the anime is good too)

    Anime series:
    The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Most original thing I ever saw)
    Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles (Love the stories and especially the English Voice Acting and the music!!)
    Rurouni Kenshin + Samurai X (=OVA's)
    Avatar (Not Anime, but resembles the genre. Chinese influences and lot of wisdom/heart)

    I started on the bleach manga but it didn't really captivate me. Maybe the anime's better?
    I also started reading some of Kingdom Hearts last week. It seems nice ^_^

    You know, they have a Liar Game live action. It's in Japanese so you'll have to find subtitles if you don't speak. It stars Toda Erika and Matsuuda Shota. I loved it!

    My favorite manga is Koukou Debut, hands down. Yoh <3

    My favorite anime... probably Baccano or Ghost Hunt

    My fav animes are Naruto, Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist, D-Gray Man, One Piece, DBZ, Soul Eater and Avatar:the last air bender(it's not an anime but it's corean cultured)

    The best of them is Naruto by far imo.

    Aww don't be mad I recognized her instantly from your banner. (Means I've seen it)

    However because now there was possibility you're also like her I'm sure any guy would agree he's walking on thin ice, when it comes to show out enthusiasm or interest for her affairs around Suzumiya :)
    So I decided to wait and observe some more.

    True true, there's nothing wrong showing enthusiasm WATCHING the anime. What I was referring to was what if Amiris likes Haruhi so much because she is one herself :P

    Kyon, an ordinary guy dared to show interest on Haruhi's affairs. We know what followed :)
    What happens if you- an ordinary guy dare to show interest on... let's say, Amiris doings. And let's presume she is like Suzumiya. Are you on thin ice?

    I've only watched half the episodes, so I can't really judge it yet. The dancing in the ending theme kind of creeps me out though...especially the boys dancing.

    I liked watching Ruroni Kenshin and Inuyasha. Never really got that into Bleach for some reason- I love the wii game, though. I used to love Pokemon anime, but it's gotten sooooo childish and repetitive.

    Naruto rules, though. Subs only. Nooooo dubs. Shippuuden is the best! xD It only gets better, but I'm upset that they've decided to end it. Although, hey, hundreds upon hundreds of episodes... it's a good run. I would hate for it to end up in the same bin as pokemon anime.
