loot system?

hi i'm new on this game and i have some problems with the loot system. when i am in a squad , and i pick up a item another party member get the loot! how do i change the loot settings? wish some1 can make a thread for the loots sytem.

    Primarily, there are two loot settings for a squad:

    Random - Items are randomly distributed across the squad members (irrespective of who picks it up)

    Free - The person who picks the drop gets it.

    This can be set in the Squad Info screen (Press T).

    You have to change the setting BEFORE making the squad though.
