Second Chance / Makeovers

Just two somewhat simple questions:

1. Is the makeover options all the exact same as the options you have when you first create your character? I played a game before where options are limited so I wasn't sure.

2. I forgot to save my character's settings (the preset screenshots) when I first created her, and I would like to find a way to do that even though the 2-day grace period for modifications have passed. If I do a makeover, will I have a chance to save a screenshot?

Not sure if you can understand the 2nd question lol.

If you create a face you like, save it during the 2-day mod period. The face parameters get saved to a .ini file on your hard drive. Once you have the .ini file, you don't have to tweak the settings by hand again, you can just load the face onto a new character.

I haven't used a makeover scroll, but I would assume it re-enables the save option for the duration of the makeover. There's a level 28 quest which gives you a no-trade makeover scroll. Starts with Beautiful Chang.

The makeover scroll has no option for two days afterwards to change it. Once you click save it is permanent so think carefully.

I can answer part of your second question.
You made your character forgot to save the presets and the two day grace is up right?
If you want to make another character with the same presets, as long as you haven't saved presets for another character on the same type you should be fine.

That was confusing so I'll give an example.

I made my cleric, didn't save the presets.
Lets say I want to make a cleric that looks EXACTLY the same, but I didn't save the presets
If I click "create" and flip over to the female cleric, it looks EXACTLY the same as the one I have.
If I had saved a different looking female cleric inbetween, then no good. I would get the last character I saved.

I hope that makes sense. What I would recommend so you don't forget and do something you regret, is go to create, go to the veno, and save your preset now.

In addition to Enoteca's suggestion (that if you have not created another character you will still have those presets when you visit character creation), you can also save your character's presets by visiting a cosmetic master with a makeover scroll (before you hit "Done"). You can hit "Cancel" after this, which will save your makeover scroll for later.

A quick tip I figured goes as well here as anywhere else:

Between the lighting and the fixed camera angle, how the character looks in the plastic surgery room can be a lot different than how they'll look out in the world. So, before you use a makeover scroll on your character, take advantage of the free-makeover period on new characters to confirm your new look.
Basically, make a temporary new character to try out the new look on, save it when you're satisfied, then use the saved settings on your main character. Hopefully minimizes makeover regret, although you never know what will pop up. ;)
