Possible crafting problem

Is there an issue with the fee paying part of crafting? Whenever I try and pay a fee when I'm manufacturing something it's not taking the money and the item comes out as standard (not had a decent item in over 15 manu's). Making lvl 4 items with tailor and craftsman, and I'm lvl 5 tailor, max lvl4 craftsman.

Is this a know tech issue, or am i just being dumb somehow?

    Simply sounds like bad luck to me. It happens sometimes. Could be wrong though, so see if anybody else disagrees. I know I've had longer strings than that of crafting piles of worthless junk before getting something decent.

    Its not just the bad results tho - it's that the money I put into fee is not being taken from my cash either...
