Leveling a new character by grinding

I wanted get a glimpse at what gameplay is like for classes other than the venomancer, so I started an archer and a cleric and played them for a couple days. For the archer, I took the standard approach and went through the quests. I started doing this for the cleric, but I began to find it tedious to run around wherever the NPCs wanted to send me. So I just grinded instead, and the leveling seemed to go faster.
Has anyone tried leveling their character by just grinding, and basically ignoring the quests except for the cultivation and aerogear quests? What was your experience? Which quests would be really bad to miss? Are there disadvantages to this approach besides missing out on reputation points?
Thanks

Would be pretty boring not taking a break from grinding and do some quests for something dif to do.I used to do drugs, I still do but I used to too.0

Enjoy the quests while you can. You have plenty of other quests when you get higher lvls.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Missing out on rep is a pretty severe disadvantage. In order to get the FB tabs you need to have a certain amount of rep. You need 70 for FB19, I believe.Everyone here is ridiculously oversensitive.0

@Coraline: the problem with enjoying the quests is that they're interesting the first time through, but not necessarily for an second or third character when you already know the story... Also, what I probably find the most fun is fighting in squads, either for grinding or FBs.
@fuzzles: thanks for the info! I didn't realize that the FB tabs have a reputation requirement. Maybe I'd try to get the points from the one-man-army quests...0 -

I meant enjoy having quests to do instead of only having like only 3 quests that will maybe get you to 20% and then having to grind the rest.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
