Which is better - small spirit charm or small guardian charm?

I'm an archer, and I went with the HP. HP = no dying. I basically never run out of MP anyways, because I can convert it from chi using winged shell.
Also keep in mind that the HP resets health at 50%, while the MP does at 75%. This means that if you're good you can equip the HP and aviod using it much, while keeping it for backup, while the MP you'll pretty much just go through.
After level 30 I've needed to meditate mostly to recover HP, much less frequently MP.
Archers having low HP is relevant here, in my opinion0 -
I think the same holds true for wizards as well. Pots do alright on MP, but you need HP faster than they give. I'd go with the guardian charm just because it will save your bacon. Spirit charm will save your wallet. I'd rather my bacon saved, I can manage my money.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I would say every class but cleric and venos should get hp charm (early game at least).
Mid game (around 60+) wizards and archers should get mp charms (they kill freakin fast with skills, and u need mp charm for zhen)0 -

I went with hp for my veno. As a veno you almost never run out of mp (if you do, just stop casting and let your pet kill the mob). But occasionally I would **** up and die. It lasted me well into my 30s, by which time I got the skill that swaps mp and hp and lets me leverage low-level hp potions to replenish large amounts of mp.
Actually, the small charms (10000 hp or 15000 mp) are so small that I would just recommend that all classes get the hp charm to protect against accidental death. The time needed to earn back the 5% exp you lose upon death far exceeds the time it takes to sit afk to meditate back 150000 mp. At those levels, if you run out of mp, just use a potion or run away.0 -
If the question is which charm to take as a reward for the Elder's jump quest, I would suggest taking the one that seems wrong for your class. These are basically a teaser - a free sample to lure you into the cash shop. If you pick the one that goes with your class, you will burn through it quickly, but not quickly enough to avoid developing some bad habits. If instead you pick the spirit charm for a barb, for example, you will still get some use out of it and yet you will not find that you can't play anymore without it.0

On my Blademaster I took hp charm to defeat Elder Tortoise and Charr. Then it was spent and I had no tiime to develop "bad habits". Take it for certain purpose and in the rest of play forget about it. For Hirudini Barbarian I need squad, but can't find it.
I did the same thing for my Assassin and can't find squad for Ocean Tusker and Hirudini Barbarian.0 -
the low-level bosses like tusker and yansheng, you can usually just ask for a squad in general chat. for tusker, ask in raging tides city; for yansheng it's a bit harder, but standing on the roof of the house nearby usually gets you an answer reasonably soon. same with elder tortoise, enough of south archo is in general chat range from there that somebody's likely to answer.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Heaven's Tear alts: KenLubin, Sou_Hon, JudyCaraco --- level 5x chars.0
