    Notice there are no NPCs either. It's a "Server Error, please log out" that caused it to be empty

    It could very well be what you get when you are disconnected. You can go wherever you want but nothing loads. No players, no NPCs.

    That's pretty much what's happened to me a few times when the network lag gets really bad or actually loses connection with the server. Then all of a sudden BAM! everyone appears, unless it decides it has lost the connection that is. b:laugh
