gem merchants

ok so up to this point i've been using the gems i found to craft stuff but i decided that i would buy some to make it go faster. i go to the merchant and he won't sell me anything. the only opption that pops up is close . is there something i have to do so he will sell them to me or what?

    Actually if I am not mistaken you will need to go to a Merchant to bu the gems/stones you are looking for.

    oh i see. ty. weird why the gem merchant isn't the one selling the gems lol

    merchant sells the gems jewlescraftsmen combine them
