Dealing with MP

I'm playing a support, robes based Cleric. Through this build, I've been disappointed by two things:

1). How quickly I die --and---
2). How quickly I burn through MP. (which leads to No. 1)

At present, I can burn through a Bronze MP Charm in about 2 days of questing (quicker than that if I'm helping in FBs) - roughly about 10 hours of game play. That's 150k of MP, plus 25% of my normal MP (about 1.2k)everytime the charm fires. That's way too much.

So - esp to higher lvl Clerics - how do you guys and gals cope with the massive MP usage?

I've tried everything, POTs, Powders, Charms, MP stones in sockets, everything. Nothing can keep me from buring through my MP in just a couple of mobs. (good example: Hexwebs on Dawn's Cry Isle. I can kill three before I have to meditate and recover unless I use POTs or Powders.)

Currently my stats are:
Mag: 205 (with buffs from items)
Vit: 48 (with Buffs from items)
Str: 35
Dex: 38

I've thought about two things:
A). Pumping Vit more.
B). Getting a reset stone and pulling from Dex and dumping to Mag.

With "A", when soloing I could spend less mana/time on heals and kill a mob quicker.

With "B", I can heal more and do more damage per shot and lessen the time it takes to kill a mob/heal a person.

I'm leaning toward A, but am not sure. Can someone provide guidance here?

Considering you're on Sanctuary, I'd suggest you completely wipe both your DEX and you VIT and convert to robes (I assume you're using Light Armour. edit - sorry, missed the part where you said you were robes. Then yes, wipe your DEX completely and most, if not all, of your VIT.) All those extra points should then be put into your magic and only add them to your STR when needed for equips.

Pure INT builds on PvE servers, especially for Clerics, are one of the best. Your attacks are stronger, your heals are stronger and things simply give you a lot less trouble. If you're worried about your HP, don't be. +HP/VIT equips socketed with HP stones can grant you a lot of extra health. You can easilly reach 800+ extra HP this way.

Even though you're a support Cleric, that doesn't mean you shouldn't max some attack skills. I'm primarilly support built but I made sure to max Plume Shot and Cyclone whilst levelling up Wield Thunder a few times along with several levels of Metal Mastery.

Although, all in all, Clerics -are- a very, very heavy MP using class. A gold charm barely lasts me a few days anymore because of grinding/helping out my faction on boss runs/TT/FBs.
