another newbee question about pet eggs

Hi im a new player and looked the forum but cant really find my answer.
Im a venomancer,and got the tame skill.
Do i tame a nice pet,and then make it into a egg,to sell it?b:sad
Do you lvl it first or just catch and make it in egg form,or are eggs dropings?b:shutup

    You use the tame skill and if it works whatever you were trying to tame will disappear and show up as an egg in your inventory which at that point you can go to one of the pet npcs to hatch and after that you can use it.
