Wasting Arrows

How is it that everytime I use a skill on a monster and it dies I shoot another arrow even though it's dead?
For example when I kill a monster with Frost Arrow, then monster drops dead but I still shoot another arrow, and it's already dead!
I drew this for fun...
}-[Bow]-)-> >--[Skill]-> [Mob]
Then...
}-[Bow]-)-> [Mob Dies]
After it dies...
}-[Bow]-)-> >--[Another arrow!]-> [Dead Mob]
I know this probably isn't a big deal but it's annoying.

Sometimes youre not actually shooting an extra arrow, but even if you are, it's lag and it's just two gold. I can safely say that at level 26 I've probably lost at most 200 gold to this bug.
Not really worth making a big deal of it.0 -

just 2 gold?
you know one time i was fighting a monster with my archer on sanctuary
the monster had like 10 hp left and i ran out of arrows! if i had had 1 more arrow i would have killed it >.<
but like you say it's not a big deal0 -
If it had 10hp left and you had no arrows, you could just fist it to death.
That doesn't sound right XD.0 -
Actually, it isn't a glitch or a bug. Its simply that the game hasn't registered that the monster died yet so you automatically shoot another arrow. This can be prevented by moving right after the killing arrow is shot to prevent the wasting of another arrow.0

On my venomancer I can cast on a dead monster, the spell goes off and it takes MP, however it doesn't give me any Chi.
Annoying, yes, but I assume it's a similar thing.0 -

it didn't really have 10 hp left it was exaggerating but it had low hp0 -
Even then, that is more your fault for not stocking ammo than the bug's fault for eating one arrow...
Hell, you should be more up in arms about the hit chance bug. As it stands we miss a lot more often than we should (I've missed 6 times in a row vs a 98% chance to hit mob -.-), because I'm sure that is eating more ammo and hp / mp pots than a bug that occasionally shoots an extra redundant arrow.0 -
Hah, i dont know if you could call that a bug, consider it a safety shot to be sure the monster is really dead... you don't want one of those hollywood moments where the bad guy gets up and stabs you with his last dying breath.
I buy the 2 coin arrows, usually 40,000 at a time, if i drop below 10,000 arrows, its restock time... I think the last time i ran out of arrows was 40 levels ago.
By the way -- if 2 coin arrows seem expensive, consider that (unless you meditate) you pay for every mana point you spend in either charms or mana potions -- I havent done the math, but a high rank lightning strike is probably equivalent to at least 50 arrows in cost.Meek with words, abrupt with arrows.0 -
i only restock about 3k at a time
and for mana when i'm low i usually just use winged shell0 -
The only advice I can give is targeting the next mob before the previous one dies when you know it has 1 hit left, then doing askill as you shoot off the last hit. Sometimes you will miss and might fook yourself over, but you are probably going to be doing this higher lvls anyway since killing becomes an automated action.0

Since we're on this topic, I'm new and I ran out of arrows but I don't know where to get new ones. I've already went to the cash shop and I couldn't find them. Help? (Sorry if this is off topic)0 -

You buy arrows from the blacksmith, located in every town/city.0 -
Thank you so much! b:pleased0

Don't change weapons too much any more >.>
Usually you can predict when you'll be changing anyway -- the point is... buy a lot :P
Spares go in the bank to wait until that weapon type returnsMeek with words, abrupt with arrows.0 -
is it worth it to buy the higher lvl arrows or do you just use 1-16 arrows until your bow out grows them? I started buying lvl 4 arrows thinking I would get more dmg per arrow but they are alot more spendy. I have lvl 4 bow0
-
Just use 1-16 basic 2 coiner arrows for grinding/questing. I would only use higher arrows for PvP.0
-
I usually buy about 5k of the lv 1-16 arrows and add a few thousand of the falcon arrows (in case i have to fight an increased life mob or i just feel like taking revenge against something that spawned in my face).
Anyway, the other way around works the same! I've noticed that whenever I kill a mob, AFTER it dies, it gets in one last hit. Long-ranged mobs more often than close-ranged, but both seem to be able to pull it off.
It's annoying 'cause I feel safe and then it hits me with, say, another poison and all of a sudden my life's in danger... sucks ><.
I'd gladly pay 2 extra coins per monster if it would just KILL them already and not send me an extra-attack-'cause-we-feel-sorry-for-the-dead-monster thing... >>''0
